Hi! My name is David and I’m 28 years old.
I grew up in France, in a city called Marignane next to Marseille, next to the Mediterranean Sea.

Many years ago, a dream that I had in my mind as a kid came back in my mind : to do a world tour.

In 2019, I did a first solo trip of 3 months with my bicycle from France to Croatia, to have a first experience and test myself. That's when I discovered Workaway. During this trip, I worked as a volunteer for one month in a farm of Slovenia and I absolutely loved the experience that I had and the people that I met.

I haven't done another volunteering since, I couldn't really travel with COVID crisis but I'm looking forward to try again in the future!

I’m actually doing the first part of my bicycle trip around the world, I started in North Canada and slowly making my way down to Argentina.

I love the independency that traveling with my bike gives me. You can carry everything you need, from the camping stuff to the cooking stuff, and in the meantime be minimalistic.
Take time to discover places, cultures and peoples.
So the idea of taking a break during my trip to help people in their project, discover their way of living and learn new skills is something that really appeals me and that I hope to do again during this trip.

I’m a friendly person, curious, serious when I have to be and motivated to help around.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I worked in fast-food so i’m familiar with working in a kitchen, cleaning and communicate with other people.
I also worked in a transport company so I know to work quickly and seriously when it has to be.
What else.. I once helped my father to restore an entrance hall by laying plaster on the walls and painting the new walls.

Three years ago, I did my first WorkAway mission in Slovenia which was helping on a farm to harvest vegetables on the fields and cleaning them for the market day.

I think that’s it, I finished my studies few years ago and started to do multiple work to have the opportunity to travel. So I don’t know many things yet, but motivated and enthusiastic to learn new!
