Currently in Cap d'agde, France and plan to stay in the region for a month or more.
Available to travel from 17th October
My preference is a stay of 3 weeks plus, 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Building and renovating for 40 years, so skilled in most areas, if you want a young strapping lad then I am not your man.
Working with my hands and head, problem solving can be fun and creative. I always enjoy learning new skills and using my knowledge to get things done.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I was for a number of years a Woof host and really enjoyed having the experience of hosting volunteers who were enthused by the whole experience of self-sufficiency that I had embarked on - I was one of the first digital non-nomads back in 1999 - I originally trained as an accountant and was able to move my family to the country and work online.
Basic building - in stone and cement, plumbing, carpentry, painting etc. for over 30 years , I have a diploma in traditional stone wall building - see my blog on oldfarmhouserestoration.wordpress.com - I have used hemp plaster in my project and clay plaster - this is a very sustainable way of insulating stone houses. I have used a compost toilet system for the last 25 years and willow plantation for grey water.
Landscaping and vegetable growing, 25 years - I have a diploma in organic horticulture and grew organically from my smallholding where I had a market garden, I ran a market stall for my produce in the local town for a number of years - I also raised cattle, many different poultry, pigs, goats, horses.

I wish to travel and experience other countries culture, hopefully learn some languages and maybe work on projects. I lived in Australia for a year and only have done sun holidays in Europe. I am looking to live in a warmer climate and see if it is for me.
Ideally I wish to work 4 hours a day, 5 days a week - I have a wealth of experience and still good energy levels - age is but a number . Ideally I want longer stays, 3 weeks plus.
I go to the gym to run or sauna but keep fit by doing physical jobs - mixed in with administrative roles - I always have had variety.
My latest job was dismantling a mushroom business and disposing of equipment and structures - contract for 6 months.
Self employed consultant - I worked for one the largest vegetable growers in Ireland researching sustainable farming and building methods- this for the last 2 years - I am particularly interested in soil biome - enriching soils and vermicompost and attended the David Johnson Su bioreactor construction course here in Ireland.
