We're travel and nature lovers. We are interested in outdoors activities, learning about new lifestyles (eco-projects, DIY,...), and we love exchanging with people from all over the world.

Beschreibung

Hi ! We're a french couple in our 30's, both loving travels and nature and eager to meet new people.
We've just started a new chapter in our lives by quitting our jobs in France with the wish to explore North America, to marvel at the great outdoors, discover new ways of living. We're easy-going people always ready to learn, exchange talks and skills with people.
We did a coast to coast trip in USA in the summer 2022 before crossing the Canadian border. So far, we spent incredible moments through Workaway on Vancouver Island and in the Yukon. After spending a year on the Canadian West coast, we are now heading to the East coast.
We can't wait to start the second part of this great adventure and maybe meet you on the way :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Hi! I (Lauriane) graduated in horticulture and am the plant lady of the team! I love gardening and want to increase my knowledge on wild plants and forestry. I'm always keen on taking people for a walk with me and show them the nature surrounding us, explaining how ecosystems work and where to spot animals. At home, I like to create a nice and cozy place to live in, by keeping things clean and well organized. I've always lived with plenty of roommates so I'm used to cook for families and small groups. I've done some small fixing and painting works but would like to become more of a handyperson by learning to build pieces of furniture. Finally, I really love talking to people. I can be a passionate storyteller but also a very good ear, curious to learn from others.

Hi! My name is David. I had a degree in art history. I’ve worked as a French assistant in a school in Wales for a year after my studies and then occupied a job of clerk in an auction house for more than 10 years. I’ve made some cultural European exchanges and projects as a participant, then as a leader and as an organizer in the past. I’ve travelled quite a lot especially during roadtrips in a van.
I can say that I’m well organized, always curious of discovering, learn and even teach new things with children if needed for example.
I’m always ready to get to know people from different cultures or lifestyles.
I used to have a cat that I loved, and I like animals in general, so I definitely can help with animals.
I’m quite good with computer and internet skills, I like to create some digital content such as video making (after my travels for example).
I love making fires, but I’d like to learn how to chop wood properly.
I’m not that great with DIY but I made some home improvements on my own. I can paint a wall, repair a toilet flush or easy repairings.

Lauriane : I love swimming (I did few years of synchronized swimming). Music is a very important part of my life, I listen to many different styles, play the piano, and love to dance to feel another kind of connexion with the music. My latest passion is birdwatching, and I'd like it to become a part of my future professional life.
David :
I’m crazy about playing every kind of games like chess, backgammon, card games… I love singing and playing the autoharp and of course listening to many different kind of music (I love blind tests haha). I used to be part of a rock band lately. I like many sports. I love design and home interior decoration but also outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing.
