Hello! My name is Cody from the United States.
I was born in a rural town in the midwest surrounded by farms, so I've always had a love for the outdoors. More recently, I've especially been interested in learning more about sustainable living and agriculture.
I studied music industry at university, both in the US and a semester in New Zealand. Though not a talented performer, I love to chat about music and be around it as much as I can.
Some of my other interests include reading books, film photography, and running.
This is my first time on Workaway, however I have had experience with WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms) in the northwestern United States. Across four months, I spent time on two different farms, learning about the process of wine making, caring for livestock, and all about CSA.
After my adventures with WWOOF, I returned to my hometown where I found employment on a cattle farm at which I was responsible for carrying out daily choring duties as well as any other tasks related to farm upkeep, such as mowing, fence building, livestock transportation, and tractor operation.
Additionally, I spent two and a half years teaching ESL in South Korea and seven months backpacking throughout East and Southeast Asia. I love to travel, especially when I can spend a lot of time learning about the culture and meeting the people of the places I visit.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm quite handy with tools and feel confident with general repairs around a house, as well as landscape maintenance and gardening. Thanks to my experience teaching ESL, I'm very patient and great with children, as well as being skilled in communication and adaptability. Backpacking has taught me the importance of being a flexible individual. I am also reasonably good with technology and can usually find out how to do something that I don't already know. I have a wide range of work experience which has helped me to become a quick learner.

Was noch ...

As previously mentioned in my description, I love to read books. Especially philosophy, classic literature, nonfiction, and some fantasy.
I also have a strong passion for analog photography and usually carry at least one film camera with me whenever I leave the house.
By no means an athlete, I do enjoy casual sports like running, football (soccer), ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, and snowboarding.
I also try my best to make regular habit of mindfulness practices such as meditation and yoga.
