Hello everyone,
we are an Italian couple: Carlo 29 and Giulia 27. We live in a small country village in central Italy.
Carlo is an engineer passionate about technology and space. Giulia is a photographer, with a masterclass in photojournalism. She worked for a year in a communication agency, and before that as a waitress.
We are calm, cheerful and friendly people. We are available and determined to do all the necessary work. We are also trying to improve our English language and we can offer our knowledge of the Italian language and culture.

We are passionate about technology and we know how to use computers and some programs.
We love to travel and do many outdoor activities: walking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and cycling. We always travel with our photographic equipment, cameras and drone.
We are looking for new experiences, to discover new places, to meet new cultures and people.

We had our first workaway experience in 2022. We stayed 3 months in Northern Norway working and traveling. We trained as a carpenter for a while and then ran an airbnb and worked in a pub.
In September 2023 we left Italy with our car to reach Norway again: we spent the first two months working in apple picking and cider production. After that we crossed the whole country from south to north reaching the Lofoten Islands where we stopped for about 6 months. During this time we found job in the tourism world and with our car and roof tent we managed to travel to the North Cape. On our way back home from Norway we crossed Finland for its entire length, the Baltic countries and then down to Italy in April 2024.
After spending the summer at home, we returned to the Lofoten Islands for a temporary job until Christmas.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Carlo is an engineer, graduated in mechanical engineering. He has acquired some carpentry and construction skills, he is generally skilled in using work tools. He is creative and open-minded in learning new skills.

Giulia is a photographer with a master's degree in photojournalism. In 2022 she worked for a communications agency in the field of social media marketing.
She worked as a waitress for 3 years in a restaurant and also worked as a kitchen assistant in a butcher's shop.

In our workaway experiences we were able to learn skills in carpentry, and in particular in tourism. We had the opportunity to work in the restaurant industry as bartenders and in the management of rooms and apartments as cleaners and customer service staff.

We both have nephews aged 2, 5 and 9. We have spent most of our free time at home with them since they were born. Therefore we have experience in taking care of children, and we really enjoy being with them.

At the end, we are both able to cook many of the typical Italian dishes. Carlo has experience in the art of bread and pizza while Giulia in desserts.

Was noch ...

In our free time we love spending time in nature, hiking and walking most of all. Sometimes we like to ride a bike and skiiing.
