Hello,
Our names are Carissa and Mario and we look forward to meeting you. We are both from Italian families and want to take this opportunity to visit the place of our heritage, but also give back to a community and be immersed in a culture we so dearly love. Carissa is originally from Hawaii and has been lucky to be able to travel around the world. When she was in college she had the opportunity to be an Au Pair for an Italian family in Umbria. It was a very memorable and meaningful experience for her and she still keeps in touch with the family 8 years later. We hope to connect with you in this manner and have an unforgettable experience. Mario has a gift of connecting with people, bringing people together and making you laugh. In all seriousness though we are extremely hard working, team oriented and have never shied away from a challenge.
We do have experience maintaining our own garden of flowers and vegetables and caring for chickens and animals. In our free time we enjoy the outdoors through hiking and camping (Carissa has hiked Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites). We love to cook and share food with others; we would also love to learn from you! In our professional lives Carissa is a Nurse in the Operating Room and Mario is a Real estate Broker and spends his free time coaching sports to children. Carissa speaks some Italian, but hopes to be much better by the time we meet in person.

We are hard workers with experience in gardening, cooking, and projects around the home. Mario has experience with power tools and DIY projects. We are personable and can entertain english speaking guests and help run an air B&B. We love animals and find much enjoyment tending to their wellbeing.
