Beschreibung

Hello, I am Katalin, from Budapest, Hungary. I spent most of my thrities in Japan and backpaking in Asia. While in Japan, I was working, studying, travelling, volunteering, a total of 9 years spent in this wonderful country. I graduated as an economist, but never worked in that field. I am a travel agent, started as an air ticket specialist and also worked as a destination manager for Japan, and put together itineraries. Also was a group leader for an adventure travel company, and worked in hotels, pensions. I am new to Workaway, but was a member of a similar site before. I love travelling, hopefully on the slow way, by staying long time each place to get to know people and local customs. I also like languages, I am quite communicative, even if we don't have a common language. There are many reasons I joined workaway, just mentioning a few here: to get away from my 9-18 office life I have been doing the past 5 years, for learning new things and get closer to nature. I would love to be the part of a community and do something constructive for that community, that makes a difference. I also like just to chill and have a cup of coffee/tea and chat. Yoga is something I would like more in my life, and dancing (salsa, for example) is also important for my well-being :-) .

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Apart from my profession, I have experience in housekeeping, cleaning, farm work (on the field, not animals, though, but happy to learn). I think I am good at communication with people, and I like hospitality, to make people feel comfortable. I also worked in hotels, helping with housekeeping, reception duties, in the kitchen and serving food. Keen on learning new things.

Was noch ...

I would like to mention here that even though I have a drivers' licence, I haven't driven for years and I am not comfortable jumping on it without some practice. I really don't like cigarette and cigar smoke. I learnt a bit of massage ("Swedish relaxing massage") and I finished a course to be a bartender. I also have a CELTA certification to teach English as a foreign language.
