Beschreibung

Hello, my name is Blaze and I'm a 28-year-old man from the United States. I was born in Eugene, Oregon, and raised on a small farm in the foothills of the Pacific Coast range. Growing up as the son of a veterinarian, my sisters and I developed a solid foundation in animal husbandry for raising sheep, goats, pigs, cattle, chickens, and other farm animals. I typically found myself helping my father with various construction projects, using hand tools, power tools, small engines, and our good ol' faithful tractor.

When I turned 18, I took a slightly different direction and decided to join the U.S. Army. I spent the next four years as a platoon RTO (radio telephone operator) and traveled all over the world for training events and missions alike. Upon separation from the military, I went back into agriculture and worked on a hemp farm in southern Oregon. The job was a little boring so I changed direction again and joined Rocky Mountain Youth Corps through Americorps to work on a trail crew in the Rocky Mountains.

It wasn't long before I turned my attention back toward school, and went to pursue higher education. Going back to school was great, and I loved every second of it. I had a job at a local nightclub as a security guard. Then Covid hit, the club shut down, everything went online, and I realized that online school wasn't for me. This is when I first learned about Workaway and WWOOF. I then woofed on a farm in Hawaii for five months. I moved back to Oregon and worked as an arborist, but ultimately came back to the farm in Hawaii to be the lead woofer.

I am currently in Corvallis Oregon going back to school. I'm always feeling out about other opportunities and new adventures for the future. If you made it this far, thank you for reading. Please feel free to send me a message and maybe we can work something out. Thank you, and have a good day.

Was noch ...

I love to be outside. I'm a very physical person, and I like to use my body. I'm most happy when not staring at a screen. My goal for using Workaway is to take some time these next few months to travel, meet new people, experience different cultures, and work hard. I really haven't traveled as much as I had hoped to as an adult, so I'm going for it now.
