Hi!
I'm a 37 year old Belgian girl and travelling with my cute and friendly 10 year old dog in our campervan. Most of my previous travelling experiences concerned backpacking through South-East Asia. Inspired by stories I heared there on the road and sharing experiences with a community minded 'tribe' in Belgium my interests shifted throughout the years in an increasing way towards a more alternative lifestyle.
In 2023 I made my first steps towards roadtripping throughout Europe on my own. Recently I gave up my job and appartement and I'm now on the road with my van.
My goal for the upcoming year is to reconnect with nature, other people and myself and gain new experiences. Being able to broaden my view on this world is what I love to do. At this point in my life I'm also searching for a way to integrate a more ecological, self-sufficient lifestyle which includes working together with people towards goals beyond making money. My dream is to live one day off grid myself and live in a small community with like-minded people.
I'm an energetic, social girl and I get a lot of satisfaction by helping other people with their inspiring projects. I think workaway is a very nice way to reach my goals at this point in my life and I'm sure I can be a help and a pleasant passing visitor for the Workawayhosts.

Soft skills: pro-active & logical thinking, work-ethic, problem solving, social, communication, teamwork, positive attitude.
In Belgium I support projects of my friends like organizing parties, private festivals or more recently a new cohousing project on an old biological farm. This last project included heavy gardening work, feeding the animals, household chores, holding an eye on the kids of the owner,... I also have experience with cohousing myself (until 6 people in one house). Furthermore, I have basic knowledge of woodworking thanks to the conversion of my van and I'm familiar with the basic principles and ideology concerning permaculture. In 2023 I also made my first experience with workaway assignements.
Even for a simple movement or renovation people can always ask my help. I enjoy working together with people, creating something together or watch things grow in their process. In my professional life I have a university degree ( master in applied economics and bachelor in social-economic sciences) and I just quitted my job as a pricing and cost analyst in a chemical corporation. At age 37, I increasingly came to the realisation that my professional and personal interests no longer corresponded with eachother. Giving up my appartement and go travelling with my dog and van for a year feels like the right thing to do at this point in my life.
