Hi there!

I am an Australian who is currently taking a break from work to travel for a few months and would love to learn some new skills in this time and ideally contribute to some meaningful projects.

I understand that an exchange such as the one in Workaway involves real work which I am definitely up for doing - I have also done WOOFing before at an organic farm which involved picking fruit and gardening and spent a month at an animal sanctuary, looking after rescued farm animals, both of which I loved! I am willing to get my hands dirty and do hard work outside either in the garden or with animals, or to work with children, and can also contribute in other ways - I have skills in communications, social media, design, web development, business development, funding proposals, research, and writing. Before this I was working for an 80+ person not-for-profit that developed tech solutions for social impact and I led their communications and coordinated their business development activities. I am also a freshly certified yoga instructor and so can teach you yoga if this interests you too.

As for me as a person, I am interested in many things - from psychology to global politics to writing poetry and more. I am passionate about women's rights, animal welfare, and eradicating global inequalities. I have a Bachelor of Philosophy and a Master's in International Development. I am currently learning Arabic (Modern Standard). I like to cook so would be happy to cook vegetarian food for you at times too! I would love to have some balance between time with you and time on my own when not working, and I'm sure you also need your space.
