Hiya ! My name’s Bénédicte, I'm a 39 years old woman. I live in Besançon, a middle sized town in the North-East of France.

I worked as a secretary in a few offices, and did lots of various types of volunteering for associations/organisations : Food not bomb collective (free meals in the streets), animal rights (organising events, logistic...). The last job I had this year was in a collective rented place, self-managed, that runs different activities (like : second hand clothes, fixing objets, drawing, language lessons, concerts…), there I plan, tidy, move furniture, do a little DIY, a bit of social media... and so on !

I love being part of projects that speak to my heart and convictions (ecology, feminism, culture…).
I took dance lessons and enjoy dance very much. I mostly use my bike to go around.

I’m friendly, smiling, and I like to get to know people, but I’m not an “always chatty” person, I like quietness too : so time with people and time to myself are both important :-) I would need a room/caravan/or any small personal space to sleep alone at night, so I can relax and be ready for socializing all day :p
I'm a vegetarian (with vegan tendencies) and I like to cook simple tasty dishes :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I did Wwoofing in England for a few months, about 8 years ago. I volunteered 2 weeks in an animal sanctuary in France in 2023. I was in Ireland for two months as a Workaway in the summer 2024 (gardening, housekeeping). April 2025 I spent in Belgium in a small community (DIY, gardening). I'm coming back from Sweden (DIY like painting, scraping).

I like that way of traveling, getting to know people through useful work, learning things, and taking the time to really be somewhere. That is why I would like to stay in one place for at least 3 weeks.

I only have basic skills, but I like DIY and construction, I would like to learn some more ! I would be happy with other activities in or outside the house, cleaning and cooking included.
I don’t have much gardening skills, but I’m motivated and don’t mind getting my hands dirty !
I carefully listen to instructions and do my best.

I love the English language, I learned it at school but even more so through songs, films and books. Using it to talk to people, that I quite miss !
Ich habe vor langer Zeit in der Schule Deutsch gelernt, es is nicht besonders gut aber ich versuche es nicht zu vergessen.
