Hello, my name is August (she/her)!

Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are reading, kayaking, backpacking and creating art!

Loved ones describe me as self-aware, creative, calm and understanding. I am quiet and yet outgoing. I am open-minded and love hearing about other people's world perspectives, especially when they are unique or different from my own.

I hope to spend my time off exploring the nature around me, creating art and volunteering to help those affected by the Maui Wildfires. Anyone hoping for someone independent, reliable, and willing to learn new things would appreciate what I have to bring to the table!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have had job/volunteer experience as a cashier, barista, restaurant manager/cook, vegetable garden manager and guide for my hometown's local history center. I have beginner-level skills in childcare (as the eldest sibling in my family, I am accustomed to taking on house responsibilities and working with kids.)

I am open to working with animals, such as in a farmstay experience.

I prefer gardening/yardwork tasks above other skills mentioned.

Was noch ...

I enjoy working outside and learning about local flora and fauna. To me, a travel experience is never complete without time spent in nature.

I am open-minded and will try anything once. I am autonomous and enjoy working/doing fun activities independently. I can be quiet, so you probably won't hear me going off on long tangents. However, one of my favorite parts of travelling is listening to other people tell their stories/hearing about their different experiences. I thrive in one-on-one conversations.

I can work well in groups (I have managerial experience), but I like to think I do my very best work, when I am told what to do and then left to my own devices.

I have no previous experience in building projects, but if you are able/willing to teach I would be glad to help you with diy/carpentry projects.

  I am vegan but have been flexible in accommodations in the past. I would be willing to take sole responsibility for cooking my own meals, buying groceries, etc. I have no problem with anyone around me eating meat or hunting either :) live and let live.
