Beschreibung

We, Arne and Lena, are an open-minded and faithful couple. After finishing school in Germany, we both decided to work and travel around New Zealand for a year, hoping to develop and improve our skills by working and exploring beautiful places in the nature. We enjoy having authentic conversations and trying new hobbies and challenges (right know we would love someone to teach us surfing or take us kayaking). As we have different attributes it would be great to find a host who can give us tasks that best suit our abilities, depending on what projects they have planned.

Although we have learnt English at school for 10 years, we are very interested in improving our language skills as we aren't used to speaking it on a daily basis. If you would like to learn German, we would be happy to teach you.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Arne and I both have experience of looking after children between the ages of 6 and 10, having mentored a group of 16 children in a summer camp organised by our community.

Furthermore I have done a two-week internship in a kindergarten and was actually struggling to decide whether to become an au pair or do work and travel after finishing school. Throughout my school career I have done lots of volunteer work in the social field, such as being a contact person for students regarding digital issues and being a schulbus attendant. I've worked as a private tutor for my mother's friend's two girls and as an assistant in a grocery store and have little experience as a waiter.

Arne is a tall and physically fit man who can help with lifting and building, as well as gardening. He is also an attentive listener with a peaceful spirit, which is why he was elected class representative and captain of his football team for several years.

We are both flexible with our working hours and motivated to learn new things in order to help our host. If you need us for more than 4-5 hours a day or more than 5 days a week, we will be happy to offer our help in exchange for an hourly rate.

I enjoy cooking, baking, horse riding, chrocheting, playing the piano and knitting and would like to learn more about farming and planting.

Arne likes cooking, playing football and going to the gym.
