Beschreibung

We are Annelies (26) and Vlado (28) from Austria. We are a couple since 2021 and live together in Vienna. We both practice yoga, meditation and kickboxing. We enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with our families whenever we're free.

ANNELIES:
I am a calm, optimistic and curious person and I love to connect with people. I am always open to (and looking for) new experiences in life.
I am currently working in marketing and transitioning to ux design because I love solving problems, empathizing with people and being creative.
The last two years I have done lots of studying for my master's degree and I would love to come back to nature, make meaningful connections and experience more little or big adventures.
I am a fast learner & I would enjoy having to fulfill more than one task at our Workaway destination. I like to use my hands as well as my mind, being outside and being creative, teaching, taking care of animals or playing with children.

VLADO:
I am a calm and cheerful person with a big heart. :) I love nature, animals and meeting people from all over the world. My family is Serbian and I grew up with both the Austrian and Serbian culture and language. I would like to get to know & learn more about other cultures and I am very interested in international history, philosophy and politics. I am also fascinated by nature and excited to explore new places!
Currently I'm studying product & interior design in Vienna.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

ANNELIES:
I work in marketing and ux design (web/app design). Before that I spent a year as an au pair (babysitter) in Italy which was a wonderful experience that I hold in my heart dearly. I also have work experience as a shop assistant and a waitress.
Moreover, I volunteered at a hostel in Italy & it was incredibly fulfilling to welcome travelers, improve my Italian, work at the reception, prepare breakfast, become friends with the hosts and other volunteers and explore the area. Other volunteer work of mine includes organizing trips for families who live in mother-child-houses and cooking for people in need.
Other than that, I've had lots of pets in my life, so I know how to take care of (small) animals. Thanks to my grandmother I learned how to collect fruits and mushrooms from the woods. :)

VLADO:
I'm studying product & interior design, so I know about architecture, materials and designing. Before that I was a quality manager in a company that manufactures prosthetics but after ten years I needed a career change and started studying again.
I also have some experience in restoration and carpenting of antique furniture because of an internship last year.
During holidays I've always helped my grandparents in Serbia with gardening, maintenance, taking care of their animals (chicken, sheep, goats, cats, dogs), chopping wood and so on.

Was noch ...

We are dedicated to our tasks, precise, attentive and motivated while working. We don't mind "making our hands dirty" and enjoy working outside. Moreover we can work independently as well as in a team and enjoy taking some responsibility & helping others out.
