Hi!

We are Anna-Leena & Matthias :)
And we are right about to start our big adventure in 2024: our gap year - a whole year & plenty of time to explore other ways of living, countries & cultures. We are so so excited!!

Why do we want to do that? I mean Bonn, Germany is not too bad;) Well we are eager to get to know completely different lifestyles and ways of living, to dive into working worlds that are completely different from ours, to discover corners of this world that show how special our planet is, to get to know ourselves even better, to grow beyond ourselves.

At home we are an airbnb host.
Almost every week we welcome people from all over the world at our guestroom. We love to create an open, reliable & easygoing atmosphere we ourselves would love to have when staying somewhere and like to share our live with others.

About me - Anna.
I love bright colours, they make me happy. I like kindness, honesty, homour and I like to laugh.
My favourite sports is Beachvolleyball..I'm beginner so I'm still working on the olympics ;) From time to time I do yoga and like to go running.
My latest hobby is gardening - getting my hands dirty and seeing things grow gives me some kind of peace. When I was a kid my greatest passion where horses and ever since I like to mud stables and do horse riding.

Travel:
I'm most attracted by places & people which are very different from what I'm used to. They let me challenge my own views. I like that :) India did that with me or Saudi Arabia lately.

Education & work:
I studied business administration, I've worked for more than 10 years in marketing consulting & HR. At the moment I'm in HR - mainly in strategic project management. Besides that I'm a parttime self-employed consultant.

About me (Matthias)
I grew up with 3 siblings in a rural place near Bonn Germany! I learned to help out at home with everything necessary in the household with an very early age! Also learned a lot working outside as my dad had a small animal farm with ducks, chicken, rabbits, dogs, sometimes sheep's and others (feeding and taking care of them), know how to make fire and also firewood, carrying heavy, fishing and also organizing things.

I love travelling, learning new things, getting to know other cultures better and inspiring other people and being inspired myself! I like the exchange with others and also to spend time alone with me. I do a lot of sports (jogging, yoga, surfing, sauna) and enjoy good food and coffee!
Traveling means for me to give something from me to the world and widen my horizon!

Skills i bring:
-Normal craft activities such as: painting, varnishing, plastering
-Feeding and taking care of animals (my Family had a small animal farm with chickens, ducks, rabbits, sheep, dogs)
-Baking
-Cooking
-Yoga Teacher (Certified 200 hrs Vinyasa)
-personal sport assistance
-Sauna Master
-Airbnb host for our apartment in Germany (all tasks that arise such as correspondence, check-in and out, preparation of the premises, preparing the apartment, the digital placement of the apartment, advanced organizational skills
-Child care (i grew up with 3 siblings)

Travel:
My biggest travel experience relates to South East Asia and Middle East! But also spent a couple of month in Vancouver! The list would be too long to write down all the visited countries.

Education and work:
-University degree in Business Administration (Leadership and Psychology)
-200hrs YogaTeacherTraining Vinyasa and Multistyle (Ubud, Bali)

My main job is full time in an office in the public sector.
In my part-time job as a yoga teacher and sauna master, I particularly like helping other people to relax better, become more sporty and healthier!
