Beschreibung

We are Anna and Erik - a couple from Germany. We are in the middle of our 20s and have been together for almost 5 years now. We just recently finished university and want to use our chance to travel while we are not bound by a job yet. New Zealand has been our dream destination for a while now ever since we heard about the friendly people and the amazing nature. We arrived in New Zealand at the beginning of February and plan to stay for around one year of work and travel. Our expectations from our stay in New Zealand are simply to have a good time. That includes meeting friendly locals, hiking a lot but mostly trying new things and living a different life compared to our lives in Germany. We are thankful for everything and appreciate every chance that comes along our route. We are not above getting our hands dirty and getting involved properly. We are reliable and trustworthy and easy to handle. We are looking forward to getting to know you soon!

We claim to be fluent in English but as always, there is space to improve. To do so, is one of our goals during our time in an English speaking nation. In exchange we could teach some German since it is our mother tongue.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As two young persons in our middle twenties we are relatively familiar with problems around electronical stuff like laptops or smartphones.
Since we moved flats several times in our lives, we also know some basic stuff about installing new lamps, a washing machine or a dishwasher. Of course, we are no experts but we are able to get along with smaller handyman's work. We are not all thumbs and know how to handle tools. But especially in this field we would be keen to learn more and to upskill ourselfs.
We are also good with pets and know how to handle them. Erik's family had cats for many years and Anna's family did own a good deal of dogs. So we're good to deals with them but also other kind of pets or farm animals would be a pleasure for us to work and live with.
We often exercise and therefore are in a good physical condition to help with all kind of physical work.
Erik has also been a part time private tutor for high school mathematics for a couple of years, so if there are some kids that need help, we might be useful.
Generally, it's easy to excite us for new things even if we have no experience yet. We want to learn new things during our time in New Zealand and we are able to learn and adapt quickly.
We are tidy and like to maintain order, so you don't have to worry about having to tidy up behind us.

Was noch ...

In our spare time we are both active with sports. Erik loves to play badminton, volleyball or anything that involves some form of ball. He's very open towards trying new things as well. Anna is more into workouts at home with her own bodyweight.
Together we are often outdoors hiking or riding our bikes which we often combine with one of our favourite hobbies: Geocaching. It's like a giant outdoor hunt for easter eggs - worldwide and all year long. We would be happy to introduce you to our hobby as well.
In the evening, we enjoy board games a lot. It could be a classic like the settlers of catan but anything is fine. We'd love to get to know some new games as well.
It might not be necessary to mention seperatly since we will be on the other side of the planet from our home, but: we loooove to travel. Together we are quite experienced now to get along in a new country. Based on all the experiences that we could collect so far, we would claim to be quite independent. We can take care of ourselfs, so you don't need to worry about babysitting us.
