Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Anaïs, I am a french girl actually between two jobs and I wish to take advantage of it to spend time in Brazil. I lived in Brazil for a year and a half, so I am fluent in Portuguese. I did a university exchange in Rio and an internship in Belo Horizonte.

Starting in December 2024, I'll be traveling with my boyfriend Amaury. We'll be staying in Brazil for 6 months, with plans to travel up the Amazon to Manaus. Our aim is to alternate traveling and volunteering before settling in Rio for a while. Amaury is learning Portuguese.

I traveled quite a lot and already made volunteering for a few months in Greece and in Italy. I grew up in the French countryside so I am used to outside work and animals!

Amaury has also travelled a lot and lived in Turkey and Iran. He is passionate about music and hopes to discover a little more about Brazilian music over the coming months.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I lived in Brazil for a year and a half, so I am fluent in Portuguese. I did a university exchange and an internship there. During this time I traveled a lot in South America.

I also spend time in Greece, in Athens, where I volunteered for helping migrants NGOs. I was teaching math and history to children in squats and distributed clothes. I also had my first experience as a workaway guest. I worked on a lavender farm in Italy for 2 weeks.
Whenever life allows me, I try to go abroad alone to discover new cultures and new people! :)

My parents are farmers, they raise horses, so I am really used to outdoor work and animals! I helped them a lot to maintain the farm and the house so I have basic skills with animals and construction :)

I am an easy-going person, and I guess I am hard to piss off! Ah, and I am quite a good cooker ;)

Amaury has a similar experience with volunteering in Athens, mainly helping around the freeshop for migrants. He works in the cultural sector and has carried out some artistic projects with kids in the Paris area.

His parents own a restaurant, so he has worked as a waiter or as a kitchen assistant very often since he was a teenager.
