Hello workawayers :D my name is Amine 30 y.o, from Tunisia. I'm a mechatronic engineer, and i am working as a technical sales engineer. Since the Covid lockdown, i became more interested in topics like sustainbility, permaculture, carbon footprint. I like photography and outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, cycling and scubadiving. I have done alot of volunteering in events and permaculture workshops.

i was lucky to volunteer in the the days before and after the 7th edition, which is an outdoor festival in the south of Tunisia near Bni Khdech. I helped in the organisation by guiding the mountain bikes tours and with some logistics. The landscape, lifestyle and authenticity of this village is so mystical. I am so greatful to Omar and Mariem for welcoming me in their home. I enjoyed my stay in Homrane, learned alot about permaculture, from the Tunisian ecosystem to practices and recent discoveries. I helped in removing weeds from the raised garden beds. Soil tilling with a garden tiller (first time). Also planting and transplanting mature plants.… read more

It was lovely having Amine with us for a week, he showed great interest to what we were doing and participated in all activities we offered, including harvesting olives and shredding prunings. Amine was very reliable, easy going and friendly with everybody during his stay. We look forward to having him another time soon.

I had an amazing stay at Elyes's house. I think this workaway has the most accurate and clearest description i ever been. We worked for 5 days, 4 to 5 hours a day always before lunch time. In this period it's olive harvest time, so most of the work was olive harvesting and i learned alot about it. Also went to Dar Emmima, loved everything about it… read more

Amine is a hardworking, respectful, cheerful and friendly person. Apart from helping with teamworks, he took initiatives and helped us to improve the shelter. I came for a week, i ended up staying for two weeks. I learned alot from Rejep and Ceyda, it was a life changing experience for me and i would definetly return again. I spent a week in the farm of Türkan and Veysi. It was a great opportunity to learn more about sustainability and farming. I helped in the maintenance of watering system, planted few trees, fed the chickens and their two dogs. I really enjoyed staying in the Yurt, very huge and confortable. When i came to the house i was welcomed by the neighbors showed me my room and told me that Mr Isa was in the hospital with a broken shoulder.
