Hi everyone :)
I am Amelie, 25 years old, from the south of Germany.
Iam a pediatric nurse, used to work at the pediatric surgery / intermediate care ward at a university hospital.

Right now iam at home, studying social work, but i cant wait to be on the road again and to meet new people, get into an exchange with them, experience new cultures and countries.

I am a nature-loving, life-affirming, relaxed and spontaneous person. If we got to know each other properly I am a faithful, responsible and a little bit crazy travel partner :)

Iam in love with camping, the oceans, diving, horseback riding, hiking, climbing, yoga, sleeping in, sunrises, all animals, good novels, writing diaries, photography, singing and dancing around campfires, deep conversations and adventurous activities.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Because of my profession i know a lot about childhood diseases, nursing, health care and education. Besides that I was babysitting the neighbor children, gave riding lessons to kids and worked in an orphanage in Kenya.
I am available for almost any work in these areas, including empowerment of women and children in need.

In northern France i was working in a volunteer runned humanitarian help organisation which distributed non food items to refugees and displaced people.

I also have experiences in working with severely and multiply handicapped children. It is a very special job and I am very thankful for everything you get back, for the honest and direct way of life that probably many people can learn from.


Another important part in my life are animals!
I have been riding since I was five years old, slept in the stable all summer holidays and had everything from rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles to cats and dogs as pets.

I am not afraid of hard and dirty work because animal welfare is very close to my heart!

Volunteering experiences:
-helping out at the municipal animal shelter
-working with and care for rescued, traumatized and sick horses and donkeys in Portugal several times.
-working at a Bird and Wildlife sanctuary in South Africa taking care of all kind of rescued animals.
- working in a dogshelter and sanctuary with almost 100 dogs in Greece.

Was noch ...

I would love to learn more about natural horsemanship, ground work and riding therapy for handicapped and mentally ill children or animal assisted therapy in general.

I am also interested in farm work, fruit and vegetable growing, sustainable permaculture, gardening, general maintenance, natural building and handicrafts.
I am a beginner in these things but I am very curious and interested in learning.
