Hello I'm Amandine !
Originally from France, I am on a working holiday visa in Canada since March 2024.
And I'm not alone !
I have come to Montreal in March with my 1 year-old cat Naia !
For the sumer 2024, my heart is calling me to go to the mountains, forests and lakes of the West of Canada.
We will be going to Calgary in June and from then we're hoping to find a place to stay, share life with locals, discover new ways of living and help as needed - mostly me, not Naia. ;)
From august 2022 to the end of 2023, I went on a solo travel in Mexico and Guatemala that changed my life. I met incredible people and was able to live beautiful experiences of volunteering in hostels or in local families to provide help with gardeing, receiving guests, general maintenance...
So during my time in Canada I wish to experience this kind of lifestyle again. I have been feeling called to come to Canada to find my home and I'm wanting to immerse myself in a community to create a new life for me here.
Growing up my parents taught me and my sister to take care of our family garden back home and I would love to reconnect with the tasks of looking after our dear Mother Earth by planting & harvesting, a garden.
I also enjoy cooking very much I find it relaxing and along with good music it is a lot of fun especially when shared !
I'd love to be able to take care of animals, learning more about farming, ranching, fishing, hunting. These ways of living are so remote from how I grew up and I'm fascinated by them.
I have some skills in renovating, painting, general maintenance of a house, etc...
I do daily Qi Gong, meditation and yoga. I look after myself - body, mind and soul as I am walking the path to being my authentic self and finally living my Truth.
I also do energy work, connecting to someone's guides and energetic body to help them come back to their own Truth and transform their life. I am still in the early stages of this exploration as I opened myself to these gifts only 2 years ago in Guatemala.
I love music, dancing and especially singing. I'm on a musical journey to connect to my own creativity, wite my songs and one day share them with the world. :-)
My cat Naia is mainly used to being indoors as we were living in the city. My goal this year is to find a safe space for her to be able to go freely outside.
She was used to being with our family dog in France and was fine with it. She would just need some time to adapt to a new environment, new people and other animals.
I'm hoping that my journey wiil allow me to cross paths with many workawayers, that I'll be able to learn, help and grow from sharing a moment of life with you !
