Tätigkeiten, die mich interessieren:

I‘m in Costa Rica since early 2024 and staying for a longer time (maybe even move? Who knows :)
Looking forward to helping in many different projects and connecting with likeminded people.

Hola!!
I'm Alex, living in and exploring Costa Rica since the beginning of 2024. I am currently based in the Uvita area and loving it very much here! Very open also for the option of staying in this beautiful country permanently - time will tell! :) I'll leave for Peru and Nicaragua for October / November - but back in CR as of December and looking forward to finding new project then!

Since the beginning of the year I have already been able to work in different projects (farms, communities, festivals...) - I want to use the time to travel around, meet interesting people, get to know the country, and - most importantly - give a hand to people working on all sort of different projects.

I have quite some experience living and working / volunteering abroad. Some examples:
- South Africa, volunteering in a children's project in Cape Town, and working on a guest and sheep farm, doing all sorts of different works
- Sri Lanka, working with a Safari Tour Operator and volunteering in the safari camps, but also online marketing
- in Malaysia I volunteered in a jungle project, building houses with bamboo, chili picking, all sorts of gardening
- Also Malaysia, in a beach hostel, accomodating guests, cleaning rooms, cooking food, etc
- France, working for one summer season in a holiday resort
- Australia, here I attended a semester of university in Sydney
- Spain, I did my masters degree in Madrid

While travelling in other countries, especially when travelling solo, I like to use couchsurfing and Workaway to really immerse in the country and make connection with people, and also make myself useful :)
I am a very open-minded person and can quickly adapt to new situations and environments.

I’m looking forward to further exploring CR, seeing new places and being able to make a contribution with my work to any kind of interesting project. I’m very interested in immersing myself in various projects like farming, permaculture, yoga retreats, work with tourists, gardening etc.

I love nature, and am looking forward to really immersing and living in nature, I'm tired of my 'city-life' here in Germany. When I'm not working, I love doing sports like running and hiking, I'm very much into yoga and meditation and personal development / emotional intelligence, I love to make deep connections with people around me. I'm a big dancing lover! (Bachata, Salsa, Kizomba is what I danced most so far... here in Costa Rica also exploring Contact Dance), I did horseriding half of my life, I love animals, I am (mostly) vegetarian and I don't smoke.

One of my aims in Costa Rica is also to learn better Spanish. I lived in Spain for a year so I am quite ok at understanding Spanish, but speaking is hard!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

While I am not an expert in tasks like gardening, farming, DIY, building, etc... I would say I am pretty "hands on" and a quick learner! And very happy to try and learn new things. Since my main job was in online marketing and tourism, and I also have a side business as virtual assistant, social media and online marketing, website edits, content creation etc is also something I'm quite experienced with.

I think I coud say that I'm a good allrounder, being able to quickly adapt to new situations and work tasks. Since I studied Tourism-Management and worked a lot with tourists before, this is something I always like. However, I'm also very happy to do physical work and help out with gardening, farming, maintanance work etc, as I did for example during my time at the farm in South Africa. I'm furthermore very animal-loving! I'm an enthusiastic, dedicated, reliable and motivated person and ready to give a hand wherever it is needed.
