Beschreibung

My name is Aika, nice to meet you!
I'm a 21 year old half Japanese / british girl born in London, UK! and have recently graduated from the University of Arts London with a first in BA Animation. I love art, fashion, baking, travelling and anything cute (hello kitty especially)

Post graduation i'm planning to travel to Japan, to connect more with my culture and to become fluent in Japanese language. Being half Japanese and living in the UK, i never got to fully explore this side to myself and I wish to connect with locals and exchange our languages!

I've always been an extremely outgoing and friendly individual, I find myself making new friends every month because I love to create new connections and speak to someone new! I love helping out others with language exchanges or even just simple tasks, as i'm flexible and always like to go above and beyond for others. I've always been a creative person who loves to draw and paint, i'd love to use this skill with others too! My biggest art inspiration is Hayao Miyazaki, the director of Studio Ghibli. Kikis delivery service is my favourite film :)

My eldest sister did a workaway in Japan a few years ago, and hearing her amazing experience had always made me want to do the same, and now that i've graduated University I can finally make this dream come true!

I am fluent in English (British english) and would love to teach others! I am very interested in learning Japanese so i would definitely be able to progress my own skills while helping others. I would be more than happy to teach all ages, and have experience with being around children through babysitting my friends little brothers! I love to interact and teach them new skills.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Art - I went to UAL (University of Arts London) and graduated with a first in BA Animation. I mainly did 2D digital art across my degree and really enjoyed it! I love to create stories, draw characters and backgrounds and animate them to life. I also do commissions for people online. As well as digital art, I love to paint in my free time or sketch wildlife in my books, let's draw together!

English fluency, beginner in Japanese. I'm more than happy to teach English to others and tell you about British life! I always help my Japanese friends with their english by calling them, so doing this in person with new people is something i'd be very happy to do!

Customer services - I've worked in a few part time jobs across the years so I have firsthand experience with customers, handling money, problem solving and teamwork. Some of my jobs include being a sales associate at the perfume shop, waitressing at Frankie & Bennys and working at a school uniform shop. These jobs allowed me to develop my confidence with working with the public and making sure to complete all targets and tasks set for me!

I'm also a model and hope to continue being one in Japan one day! Modelling has helped me build my confidence and although i'm not sure if this counts as a skill, its something I love to do!

Was noch ...

Last summer, I visted Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka, Nara and Kyoto! It was my first ever time in Japan and I fell in love with everything instantly, for example I love matcha so much and it tasted so so amazing as well as costing less than it does in London! I knew I wanted to come back long term and experience working with locals to learn more about the culture!

My favourite memories include wearing a Yukata with my sisters in Kyoto, and feeding lots of cute Capybara in Kobe (my mothers hometown) i'm also a big anime and manga fan so being able to easily buy merch everywhere was a dream, some of my favourites are Hunter x Hunter, Nana, Bluelock and fruits basket (I have so many more) I LOVE characters like My melody, Hello kitty, miffy and moomin. Anything with these characters on I will be buying ;)
