I am interested in many things as life just fascinates me. I look for sense in what I do and find fulfilment in the doing. I long for working in the garden and with animals, gathering experience.

Welcome to my profile, dear hosts!

My name is Andrea – Anni is also fine. I am 32 and I come from Hamburg in northern Germany. I have already made one "workaway experience" in Italy and absolutely loved it. Now, that I decided to dedicate another couple of weeks to workaway, I feel quite excited.

I would love to spend time in a rather rural quiet area with wildlife, nature and animals. As for me, I am interested in improving any skills I already have and I am also very keen on learning new things! You can count on me, I am a hard worker and find it very rewarding when I can see the work I have done. It is a pleasure to support people in fulfilling their dreams / projects. What is better than being part of something beautiful, useful, necessary, meaningful?

My friends describe me as a talented organizer and as an honest, responsible, trustworthy person who loves to laugh. :) I do not smoke nor do I consume too much caffeine, alcohol or meat. When I am very happy you will find me singing and dancing. I am very animal friendly and don't see them as inferior creatures, rather the opposite! Especially dogs and horses make my heart melt. For transparency – I love them but have unfortunately never lived with animals, so I would need guidance/instruction in co-living here and there. Also, I used to have my own garden where I grew my own herbs and vegetables and would love to get back into it.

I am so curious what life is like in several countries and homes. As you can see on my profile I am prepared to go to several parts of Europe this year. I am looking forward to hearing from you, wherever your project takes place!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

So let me tell you about my "skills".

At present, I am a university student of Human Movement Science and Educational Science. I am specialising in dancing, martial arts and adult education and worked in Sports Pedagogy for 2,5 years. I am also part of an additional certificate programme for sustainability education and working at the Sustainability Office of the university. Before going to university I was working as project manager in a company for nutrition counselling. So one area of my interests are (physical, psychologial, social and environmental) health, science and education you could say.

So there are my professional skills like working as project manager or receptionist. I worked in a language school at reception in England two summers and also organised airport transfers. I loved the talks with the students from around the world and being in the position to help them with whatever issue they had. The can-do atmosphere in the school was energising and an excellent basis for building real friendships.

I studied International Business Relations in Germany for 3 years which included English, Spanish, Chinese, Marketing, HR, Economics, Correspondence and so on. First and foremost, I enjoyed the internships I was to absolve in England, Spain and Germany. Should you like to know more details feel free to ask. I just don't want this text to become toooooo long :) Apart from that I am also a trained Fitness Trainer / Health Coach.

Regarding my service skills I would mention that I worked in Barcelona as a cook for a season, preparing buffets for about 50 teenagers. Besides, I have been working as a waitress in various cities for more several years, at first in a hotel restaurant, then in a café and then as temporary worker wherever my workforce was needed (on boats, in stadiums, theatres...) as a second job to my studies. I also ran a kitchen of a big café (roastery) for a year, preparing brunch and looking after the daily business.

My personal interests are dancing, traveling, sportive activities in general, fresh cooking, languages and nature experiences. I also love handcraft and playing music but I could need support to improve those skills.
