Mi workaway con Harold fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi viaje en América Latina. Al principio solo pensaba quedarme tres semanas, pero me sentí muy bienvenida y Harold me permitió hacer muchas cosas muy bonitas, así que me quedé un mes. El trabajo de voluntariado era muy fácil y me divertí mucho conociendo a la gente del pueblo y enseñando inglés a los niños. Enseñé en la biblioteca del pueblo en un taller de inglés abierto y también en Nilo, una pequeña escuela en las montañas, lo cual fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora. Cuando no estaba ayudando, tenía tiempo para hacer mi propio trabajo, sobre todo por la mañana, y Harold me llevó a muchas actividades. Nadamos en los ríos, tomamos cerveza con sus colegas y, por supuesto, dimos paseos todas las tardes en su moto, algo muy típico de Palermo. Había muchísima comida rica (incluso demasiado para mi apetito) y Harold siempre me invitó al restaurante cuando tuvo la oportunidad, lo cual aprecié mucho. A cambio, también compartí algunos talleres de cocina. Muchas gracias por todo, Harold. Más que recuerdos hermosos, hice un amigo, y espero de verdad poder volver algún día. (Y gracias por su paciencia con mi español, que estaba muy mal cuando llegué)

I really liked my 2 week stay at Cam's place. We had a chat over the phone before meeting, so everything was pretty clear before it began. The house that the other workawayers and I shared was cozy and having a private room and bathroom was nice. In my free time I relaxed and explored the surrounding nature on a mountain bike that Cam gave me to use while I was there. I enjoyed working on the projects and jobs there, and I think that they were a valuable learning experience for me. Cam, thank you for inviting me!

Thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful message. Reading your reflection on the "slow life" here—from the bike rides through the rice fields to the mural painting—truly warmed our hearts. Most importantly, I want to personally thank you for keeping the promises you made to us. Your commitment so much to our community and especially for the children, seeing someone follow through on their word means more than words can say. It builds trust and brings so much joy to their hearts. You’ve left a lasting impression on everyone here. It truly shows the strength of your character. I’m so glad you got to experience the genuine kindness of our neighbors (and their iguanas!). And also thank you for the short videos you and the group made for our medias. We were very touched by your kind words; we truly enjoyed having you with us. About the mosquitoes and the common room—thank you for your honesty. We are always looking for ways to improve, and we’ll definitely look into how we can make the space more "cozy" for future volunteers while balancing its use as a classroom. Thank you for recommending us and for sharing our vibe on Instagram! We wish you nothing but the best in your next adventures. You are always welcome back to our little village.

Julien was an outstanding Workawayer and worked extremely hard during his stay with us. We truly enjoyed working together as a team, and his contribution made a real difference to our property. Together, we finished building a woodshed, moved, chopped, and stacked a large amount of firewood, and completed several physically demanding tasks with care and consistency. Julien also helped with plant propagation, tidied up a barn, and assisted with organising and dismantling an aluminium greenhouse frame. He approached every task with energy, focus, and a positive attitude. Julien is both strong and gentle, with a calm presence and a great sense of conversation. He is eager to learn, curious about new ways of doing things, and genuinely enjoys exchanging culture and ideas. He was very respectful of our home and settled in immediately. He also got on beautifully with our dog, Pinot, right from the start. We would absolutely host Julien again without hesitation. Unfortunately, his travel schedule is tight, but any host would be lucky to have him. We highly recommend Julien to future host.

We had a fantastic week in Waipatiki. Angela and Chris gave us a warm welcome on Sunday evening with a wonderful dinner where we could share our travel experiences! Unfortunately, they were working during the week, so we didn't get to see them more. In any case, the place is amazing, the work wasn't too strenuous, and we had an incredible view of the beach and Napier in the distance! After our week in Waipatiki, we met up with Angela, who kindly hosted us for a night at their home in Napier. Thanks again for this incredible week!

I did a Workaway with an amazing couple who were truly wonderful people. They were always joyful, kind, and incredibly hospitable. The environment was calm, fun, and very respectful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The work expectations were clear and fair, and I was genuinely happy to do the work. The accommodations were excellent, and the location was perfect, close to everything. Céline, the owner, was always willing to share local tips and recommend great places to visit, which really enriched my stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better Workaway experience and would highly recommend them. Thank you so much Celine and Alex. You both touched my heart and appreciated you both very much ❤️

We had a wonderful three weeks with Rachel and Ralph. From the very beginning, we received a warm welcome. Rachel helped us with all the paperwork and gave us great advice on places to visit during our stay in New Zealand. As French people, she even bought us croissants—we loved the thoughtful touch—and the cakes she baked were delicious! Working in their garden was fantastic and varied; it's impressive to see all the trees they've planted over the years! A special shout-out to Meg, who was lovely and often joined us in the garden while we were working. It was a real pleasure to meet you, and we hope to meet again soon to share our adventures.

Louis was here for a couple of weeks and was an awesome help around the place and great interactions with our guests. We would welcome you back anytime. Thanks so much for all your help!!

Georg was very helpful with Painting our post and rail fences. He worked methodically and got the job done! He is quiet but fits in and was a pleasure to have at our place. Thank you Georg and I wish you all the best in the future.

My days with Andrea were wonderful. I truly want to thank you for the time I spent at your home and for your hospitality and kindness. I really enjoyed chatting with you and helping out with this beautiful project of your home. I learned so much and did tasks I had never done before — it was a very enriching experience. Nuestra experiencia de voluntariado con Gustavo fue excepcional y sorprendente. Aquí Gustavo está llevando adelante su proyecto de vida autosuficiente, de compartir y ayuda mutua, un proyecto de nutrimento interior, con el objetivo de volver a vivir a los ritmos delicados de la naturaleza, en conexión con ella y con los demás. Gus es una persona maravillosa, desde el primer día su sonrisa nos hizo sentir como en casa. Es amable, atento, siempre disponible. Todos los días nos recordaba que nos hidratáramos y tomásemos descansos cada vez que sentíamos la necesidad. Le ayudamos en la construcción de la cuarta estructura del terreno, completamente hecha en bioedilizia. Nos dio la oportunidad de conocer este mundo con el que aún no habíamos entrado en contacto. El trabajo es muy dinámico y nunca es igual, de hecho, para evitar la monotonía siempre hemos trabajado por rotación, intercambiando las tareas y haciendo todo más interesante y útil para el aprendizaje. Un trabajo satisfactorio que Gustavo lleva a cabo con tanto cuidado y pasión. A pocos pasos de la tierra se encuentra un río muy grande, inmerso en el verde de un valle casi virgen. Su proyecto está muy cerca de nuestra idea de vida, esperamos poder volver y pasar más tiempo con Gus ! Un abrazoooo amigo

Julie & Morgan are amzaing! I loved having them here. There a beautiful couple with great spirit and fun to be around. Also they are hardworking people and they really helped me a lot with my project. Host them !!

We can now cross this experience off our 'Bucket List'. This was an experience of a lifetime for us. Anna graciously welcomed us into her home and we immediately felt like family. She introduced us to family nearby and we had many opportunities to improve our Italian and socialize. We started our day with breakfast and conversation. Our chores included pruning Anna's various plants, stacking firewood, raking and removing leaves and cutting the grass. We also did some house organization tasks when it rained. Anna was usually working alongside us, she was incredible. She shared many of her delicious recipes with us and we cooked one night for her! We were able to do some exploring in the afternoons and weekends. We especially enjoyed our time in Lucca, Viareggio, Pisa and Montecarlo. We will always cherish our time with Anna, we had many laughs, cultural experiences and lots of authentic italian cooking. We love you Anna!

I stayed with Paula and Niko on their beautiful Cantabrian property in June this year. They have left a forever mark on my heart and life story! I have amazing memories with them and learned so much from Paula's remarkable strength and work ethic. The place is right near the beach and the accommodation is great, I walked around every day and couldn't believe where I was living. In the house there are two cats and two dogs - Tana te echo de menos :,) My tasks included cleaning, gardening, organizing, cooking, and taking care of Niko. We all worked together and became a little family unit. I highly recommend this stay. And Paula is an INCREDIBLE chef. Espero que nos veamos otra vez <3

CJ and Jovè were a great help around our home they helped with lots of different projects and showed great skills in gardening and interior design. They completed tasks to a high standard and put great effort and enthusiasm into interior design. Two very artistic people who love to have fun. Best of luck in the future 🙏🏻🙌🌹

Eva stayed few weeks at home and we really enjoy our time together. She made great compote with the figs (we had tons !) and helped a lot with the kids. She also cooked some great German recipes. Our daughters loved sharing time with Eva. We had great conversations and had some good laugh together. She is also very independent and open minded. Thanks a lot again to Eva for all your help ! We will be very happy to have you back ! All the best for you !

It might be that you are the lucky ones who will host Yoed one day. ;) So here comes our recommendation from deep within our hearts. Honestly, it’s not easy to let him move on – even after just two months of living with us and volunteering in our family. What a gift. From day one, he was a true asset: reliable, polite, honest, and wonderfully caring with our kids. Daily tasks? He simply joined in – without many words. He knows how to use tools, and he was also doing the dishes and helping out whenever we needed support. Now he continues his journey. So if anyone needs help – in the household, the garden, or daily life – we can wholeheartedly recommend him. He doesn’t drink (maybe a glass of wine once in a while), doesn’t smoke, is sporty, strong, and contributes with a deeply respectful attitude. A real jackpot! 🍀 We even invited him to celebrate Christmas with us – and without any doubt, this was one of the best decisions we could have made. The universe gifted us this wonderful young man. Dear Workaway, we are so grateful to have had this opportunity for cultural exchange. Go for it, lovely people all over the world. Yoed, we wish you all the best for your upcoming journey. Liza's and Alex were the most incredible hosts. they went above and beyond for my French language learning and the tasks during the day were minimal. not to mention the accommodation was so beautiful and a real chance to take a breather in the countryside. couldn't recommend them enough ☺️

Haruka and Ai were such a pleasure to host for the 10 days stay. They are disciplined and self starters. They take joy in their allotted tusks and seems to be always in a very good mood and happy.They turned the compost heap on the first day in the garden. It was challenging but to my surprise it was done very well. This is not a small task our compost piles. They help a lot with the planting and of course with the weeding, its a big garden but didn't seem to frighten them. Hanging the Christmas Lights on the big Pohutakawa tree was fun task but challenging as the tree is very big and a lot of climbing is needed. Helping in the house was tremendous and for that I really want to give our special thanks. And not to forget Sveijk. Our dog is not the easiest to have around but they managed to take control of him. Taking him out several times a day and look after him. It was so nice to see the bond growing between them and the dog. I am sue he will miss them now they are gone and so are we.
