Beschreibung
We are four in the family: Nico, Lola, Cova and Porma the dog. Cova is 11 years old, we are 46 years old. My husband is dedicated to the environment quality and me, I am a technology teacher in a Secondary/High School.
Cova is a very cheerful and sweet girl who loves music, reading and playing outside.
We love travelling and trekking. Nico really enjoys playing basketball and cycling, and me, I love playing boardgames, and going out for tapas, yummy yummy!...
We would like a language exchange with a native speaker, who would like to help our family to improve our English and overall, teaching English skills to our daughter.
We live in León, a nice small city in northern Spain, very pretty and surrounded by great nature, mountains, and also, an important point of the Camino de Santiago (Saint James Path).
León is known for its tapas and its Gothic cathedral. It takes 1h30 to arrive to the beach (Gijón), and 3,5 hours to Madrid.
We have a pet, a border collie dog called Porma. By the way, we don't smoke.
We love meeting foreign people who want to share time, experiences and discover another culture and traditions.
Lots of workawayers have stayed with us (at least 13),and we have enjoyed so much, we keep hosting new guests.

We expect to exchange culture and language skills and we offer a warm welcoming and a real family experience during your time in Spain.
We'll let all the freedom, you have a bedroom for yourself, and a house key. Anyway, we like going out for excursions and we are happy that you join us anytime.
We use to visit with workawayers the city and outskirts, we provide a bicycle for moving through the city or scooter, travelling support for visiting other nearby cities and nice recommendations in everything you need,
You are going to have a lot of opportunities to practice Spanish outside home, and if you are interested, it is possible to attend free Spanish classes during the morning.
If you love cooking we can share each other our recipes and enjoy nice food!
We have a large experience sharing great moments with many workawayers from all around the world, we love diversity!!
Nice mountains and falls, touristic train, ski restorts, near seaside cities, historical cities, and the warm and charm of our family.

Arbeit
We basically need you to help us teaching English. We would like to speak at home in English, to get immersed in it.
We need you to prepare English lessons for our daughter Cova and help her learning and improving her English (reading, writting, spelling, vocabulary, and most important, speaking and correcting her expressions and pronunciation).
Because of Cova´s schoool timetable and music school are usually very busy, we would like you to teach on monday, wednesday and friday at least 2 hours or more depending on Cova´s free time, and completing during the weekend to 20 hours in total, tuesday and thursday are off.
Cova is 11 years old and what we appreciate is experience in preparing active and dinamic teaching classes. All kind of experience related to it will be welcomed.
We would like a person who love children, treat them with affection, and a trustworthy person who takes easily to fit in and be one more family during the stay with us.
We also would like normal people who has no problem to set the table, clean up your staff and room, in summarize, what you do at your home normally, nothing else.
Maybe we would need exceptionally some help for going for a walk with the dog.

Unterkunft
A private room and a shared bathroom for the workawayer in a flat in downtown. You can go by walking everywhere in the town.
We have all the facilities at home as washing machine, dish washer, microwave, heating system...etc. We also provide of a bike or scooter for moving. Of course all meals are provided and if you have any special diet requirement, we adapt to it and we can buy specific food you need.
