  We are Nicolas and Issa, a French couple who have been living for a few years in a small village between Essaouira and Kaouki. Issa grew up in Morocco. We enjoy DIY projects, cooking, spending time outdoors, and activities like surfing and horseback riding. We live with several dogs and have good relationships with our neighbors and the villagers. For specific jobs, we also occasionally call on local tradespeople.
  
  Nous sommes Nicolas et Issa, un couple français installé depuis quelques années dans un petit village entre Essaouira et Kaouki. Issa a grandi au Maroc. Nous aimons bricoler, cuisiner, passer du temps dehors et pratiquer des activités comme le surf ou l'équitation.
  
  Nous vivons avec plusieurs chiens et entretenons de bonnes relations avec nos voisins et les habitants du village. Pour certains travaux spécifiques, nous faisons aussi ponctuellement appel à des artisans locaux.

  Above all, we hope to share a simple and friendly experience around our renovation project. We'll be happy to exchange knowledge about DIY, renovation, and daily life in Morocco, while discovering each other's experiences and skills. We'd also like to share meals and cook together as much as possible. This will be an opportunity to chat, practice French or English, and discover different cultures. Outside of the construction site, those who wish can join us for activities like surfing, yoga, walks, or exploring the area around Essaouira. We love the idea that everyone can contribute something to the project, even if it's just an idea, a technique, or a different way of doing things.
  
  
  Nous espérons surtout partager une expérience simple et conviviale autour de notre projet de rénovation. Nous serons heureux d’échanger nos connaissances en bricolage, rénovation et vie quotidienne au Maroc, tout en découvrant les expériences et savoir-faire de chacun.
  
  Nous aimerions également partager les repas et cuisiner ensemble autant que possible. Ce sera l’occasion de discuter, pratiquer le français ou l’anglais et découvrir différentes cultures.
  
  En dehors du chantier, ceux qui le souhaitent pourront partager avec nous certaines activités comme le surf, le yoga, les balades ou la découverte des environs d’Essaouira. Nous aimons l’idée que chacun puisse apporter quelque chose au projet, même simplement une idée, une technique ou une façon différente de faire.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for motivated people to help us breathe new life into some old horse stalls. The project is to gradually transform them into useful and pleasant spaces: a workshop/garage, a small apartment, and a space for practicing yoga. Depending on the progress of the project, help at many different things of construction, organising, or simply lending a hand wherever needed. The idea is that everyone naturally participates in the life of the house: cooking, washing up… like in a shared home, in a simple and friendly atmosphere. For specific tasks, we also occasionally call on local tradespeople.
  
  Nous recherchons des personnes motivées pour nous aider à redonner vie à d’anciens box à chevaux. Le projet est de les transformer petit à petit en espaces utiles et agréables : atelier/garage, petit logement et espace pour pratiquer le yoga.
  
  Selon l’avancée du chantier, l’aide pourra concerner la maçonnerie, les enduits, la peinture, la charpente, les finitions, le rangement ou simplement donner un coup de main là où il y en a besoin.
  
  L’idée est que chacun participe naturellement à la vie de la maison : cuisine, vaisselle… comme dans une maison partagée, dans une ambiance simple et conviviale. Pour certains travaux spécifiques, nous faisons aussi ponctuellement appel à des artisans locaux.

  Unterkunft

  You will be accommodated in a private room with a large double bed. Our room is next door, and we will share the rest of the house: living room, kitchen, common areas, and garden. The house is small, simple, and welcoming, organized around a large, open central patio that lets in plenty of air and light. We live with a composting toilet and a lifestyle quite close to the outdoors. Thanks to a constructed wetland system, we naturally treat our greywater and use it for the garden, which means using environmentally friendly, non-chemical products. The idea is truly to share the house naturally, with each of us having our own space while living together day-to-day.
  
  Vous serez logés dans une chambre privée avec un grand lit double. Notre chambre se trouve à côté et nous partagerons le reste de la maison : salon, cuisine, espaces de vie et jardin.
  
  La maison est petite, simple et conviviale, organisée autour d’un grand patio central ouvert qui apporte beaucoup d’air et de lumière. Nous vivons avec des toilettes sèches et un mode de vie assez proche de l’extérieur.
  
  Grâce à une phytoépuration, nous traitons naturellement nos eaux grises et les utilisons pour le jardin, ce qui implique d'utiliser des produit respectueux de l'environnement et non chimique.
  
  L’idée est vraiment de partager la maison naturellement, chacun ayant son espace mais en vivant ensemble au quotidien.
