We are a charity organization reaching out to the Batwa people with education, health care and prevention, water, sanitation and hygiene programs, infrastructure development, land acquisition, evangelism, income generating activities and skills development.

The Batwa are a group of people who were evicted in the early 90s from the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Forest National Park in SW Uganda. Prior to that, the Batwa survived a life of gathering and hunting and lived harmoniously with the resident gorillas.
After eviction from the forests, the Batwa were given no compensation from the government. Some were settled by good samaritans on either barren or poor land while others live as squatters,
Because they lacked skills to adapt to the new environment, The Batwa have lived an impoverished lifestyle with the majority not able to own a place to call "home". The majority of them live in ramshackle houses made of grass or banana leaves,

This has left the Batwa to live vulnerable lives. Many Batwa women and girls are bought for cheap sex in exchange for food others are victims of rape. This, together with the myth that sleeping with Batwa women can cure AIDS and backache, the Batwa have had many unplanned pregnancies and many of them have acquired HIV/Aids.
The Batwa have also ended up with large families they can't take care of.

Acute marginalization in the communities where they live has also deprived them access to major social services. We are a non governmental charitable organization working towards empowering the Batwa to raise their social status, be well accepted in the communities where they live and also create an environment that accepts them as equal and well deserving citizens,
