  Beschreibung

  Heyyy :)) I’m Nair, based in Madalena, Pico Island (Azores). I’m looking for a creative, hands-on person to help me give my house a little upgrade! The place already has a ton of charm, but it deserves a few finishing touches to make it even more special.
  
  I’m Portuguese, born in Vila Real, a beautiful town on the mainland, far from the ocean but surrounded by mountains. I lived there with my lovely parents and younger brother until I finished high school, then moved to Porto for university and stayed for almost ten years.
  
  After the pandemic, I felt a strong urge to slow down, leave the city, and find a calmer way of living. Since scuba diving was a hobby I loved, I decided to volunteer for a diving company here in Pico Island and it turned out to be the best decision of my life. It completely changed my path, and now this island is home. Since then, I’ve traveled to many places, but Pico always calls me back.
  
  I love music, art, and nature. I still enjoy a fun night out now and then, but these days I find more joy in calm, cozy moments... good conversations, good food, and simple things that make life beautiful.
  
  I’m on a path of self-discovery, learning who I truly am, and I want to be surrounded by creative, positive, and proactive people who dream big. I love to daydream, honestly, it’s one of my favorite hobbies, and I truly believe that many of my dreams have already come true because of it. Once you step onto these islands, I’m sure you’ll feel the same magic too. 🌊✨

  Climb Mount Pico, the highest mountain in Portugal.
  Scuba dive or snorkel in crystal clear water.
  Explore legendary dive sites like Princess Alice Bank, and get to see mega schools of pelagic fish, mobula rays and maybe even whale sharks.
  Scuba or snorkel with Sharks in Condor Bank.
  Or simply walk outside, breathe the salty air, and feel what it means to live slowly and mindfully in nature

  Ideally, you’ve got some experience with some handy projects.
  Here’s what I’d love help with:
  
  Building simple furniture pieces (like bunk beds or outdoor seating)
  
  Giving the house a fresh coat of paint. Adding creative details — maybe some wall art or unique drawings that give the space even more personality

  Unterkunft

  You’ll have your own private room with a comfortable bed and large windows that look out over my cute little garden. It’s a bright, peaceful space.
  
  You’ll have access to everything — a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom, and the garden, where we often hang out, have meals, or just relax in the sun. The vibe is cozy, social, and easygoing.

  Was noch ...

  We share all the house duties together : cleaning, cooking, organizing, taking care of the garden - Meals are fresh, simple, and local. It would be lovely if you shared your favorite dish :) I’m also a certified scuba diving instructor, so if you’re curious about the underwater world, we can talk about getting you started with your Open Water Diver certification. You’ll leave not only with incredible memories but also a new skill that you can carry with you for life.
