Our efforts in the forest reflect the work of a larger network of community organizations collaborating on behalf of the planet. Together, in the spirit of cooperation, we nurture and promote ways of living in tune with nature. What a volunteer learns will be determined by their expressed learning goals, which we will incorporate into our program planning.

Housing accommodations and food (organic and locally sourced) will be provided to volunteers. Facilities include an unheated, solar powered, primitive cabin that sleeps up to 8 individuals, located off a well-established trail with a nearby composting latrine. Volunteers are also welcome to pitch their own tent if desired. Volunteers have access to a bathroom with a shower at a nearby bed and breakfast, with first consideration given to house guests.
Our facility serves as a drug and alcohol-free safe space to support members of the community who may be addressing addiction issues. As a result, drug and alcohol use is not allowed on the premises to honor our commitment in supporting the overall health of our community.
• Facility location - adjacent to miles of surrounding woodland trails, the locale is perfect for outdoor recreation. When possible and with previous arrangement, hosts can provide transportation to local events, grocery shopping, etc. as needed.
• Our town also has a library, a tennis court, and a general store. Twelve miles away, a larger city with 3 colleges, offers a greater selection of cultural, educational, dining and shopping opportunities.
