Hello! We are Gerwin (34) and Coraly (29) and we live together with our two young daughters, Yara (2.5) and Roxy (1), in the beautiful village of Bergentheim in the Netherlands. Our home is surrounded by forest and nature, which makes it a peaceful and special place to live.
We enjoy the quiet outdoor life and spend a lot of time in our garden and around the house. Our property has a large landscape garden and a swimming pool that we love to maintain and improve. There is always something to do outside, and we enjoy working on our place to make it even nicer.
As a Workawayer, you would mainly help us with garden, helping with general outdoor tasks, and occasionally assisting with small DIY projects in or around the house. The helpis varied and mostly outdoors, and we enjoy working together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
You will stay in our comfortable guest accommodation with your own bedroom, private toilet and shower, so you will have your own space to relax after helping out.
We look forward to meeting open-minded travelers who enjoy nature, like working outdoors, and would like to experience family life in the Dutch countryside

We enjoy welcoming people from different cultures and sharing experiences. During your stay you will have the chance to experience daily life in the Netherlands.
We like to talk, share stories and sometimes have meals together. We are also happy to give tips about the area, places to visit and things to do nearby.
For us, Workaway is not only about help with tasks, but also about meeting new people, learning about different cultures and creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Arbeit
We are looking for help with various light tasks around the house and in the garden. Tasks may include:
Mowing the lawn
Weeding and hoeing the garden
Pruning plants and bushes
Cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool
Raking leaves and keeping the garden tidy
Small painting or maintenance help
Helping organize or tidy the shed or garage
Occasionally helping with small tasks in and around the house
The help is varied and mostly outdoors. Sometimes we work together on tasks, which can be a nice way to learn new skills and share experiences. No special experience is required; motivation and a positive attitude are more important.

Unterkunft
Workawayers will stay in a guest accommodation above the garage. It has a private bedroom, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and there is also a sauna available. The space is comfortable and offers privacy during your stay.
We provide three meals a day for our Workawayers. Breakfast is usually self-serve with bread, spreads, fruit, and coffee/tea. Lunch is simple and can be prepared together or individually depending on the day. Dinner is typically a shared meal, and we enjoy cooking and eating together as part of the cultural exchange.
If schedules don’t allow shared meals, we make sure ingredients are always available so Workawayers can cook for themselves. We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions with advance notice.
