Beschreibung
We run a young cultural and social association nestled in a lush natural setting, in Basse-Terre, between Bouillante and Vieux-Habitants (Guadeloupe, French West Indies).
Our project is to create a living, vibrant space for sharing and transmission, centered around music, Creole cultures, and popular expression.
We are Fanny and Sasha, both 33 years old, musicians and educators!
We share our Kaz (Creole for "home") with Laiko, our sweet and loyal dog, and our two affectionate cats, Cosmos & Arcane.
We offer:
Music lessons (guitar, music production, vocals, percussion…) and Jam sessions and cultural exchange moments.
Right now, we are officially launching the place and are looking for motivated and kind-hearted people to help us bring it to life.
Our association is preparing to start extracurricular and cultural activities in September 2025, and we need helping hands to set everything in motion!
The goals
-Become a welcoming and inspiring place for artists in residence and visitors
- Offer music classes: for children, adults, groups or individuals + jam sessions
- Host movement workshops: yoga, circus arts
- Be a space for art exhibitions and visual arts workshops
- Organize improvised theater performances
- Host live concerts and cultural shows
- Offer open-air movie screenings
Est une jeune association culturelle et sociale nichée dans un écrin de nature, en Basse-Terre e,tre Bouillante et Vieux-Habitants (Guadeloupe).
Notre projet est de créer un lieu vivant de transmission et de partage, autour de la musique, des cultures créoles et de l'expression populaire.
Nous sommes Fanny et Sasha, âgé de 33 ans et nous sommes musiciens et pédagogues! Nous partageons notre Kaz avec Laiko, notre chienne et Cosmos & Arcane nos chats, tout trois très tendres et fidèles!
Nous proposons : des cours de musique (guitare, MAO, chant, percussions…) et des jams sessions ainsi que des temps d’échanges culturel.
Aujourd’hui, nous lançons la mise en place concrète du lieu et cherchons des personnes motivées pour nous aider à le faire vivre.
Car l'association va commencée ses activités extrascolaire et évènementielles dès la rentrée de septembre 2025!

Arbeit
As a Workawayer, you will participate in the creation and animation of the place, according to your desires and skills:
- Help with the layout: create a light DIY dance floor, painting, decoration, signage...
- Maintenance of the land and surroundings (weeding, cleaning, small garden) - Participation in the organization of musical activities (jam assembly, logistical support) - Possibility of helping with communication or welcoming the public Approximately 4 hours of help per day, 5 days per week.
we provide three meals a day. These can be vegetarian or not, depending on each Workawayer’s preference — we are happy to adapt to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
En tant que Workawayer, vous participerez à la construction et à l’animation du lieu, selon vos envies et compétences :
- Aide à l’aménagement: creer un plancher de danse + bricolage léger, peinture, déco, signalétique...
- Entretien du terrain et des alentours (désherbage, nettoyage, petit jardin)
-Participation à l’organisation des activités musicales (montage de jam, soutien logistique)
- Possibilité d’aider à la communication ou à l'accueil du public
Environ 4 heures d’aide par jour, 5 jours par semaine.

Unterkunft
You will be accommodated in a large, comfortable tent, with a double bed and a box spring, where you can stand up and with a small wardrobe to store your things! In the middle of nature, close to the music studio, and you will have access to internet and electricity.
There are also available:
- Dry toilets
- Our equipped kitchen
- Hot shower
We provide 2 vegetarian meals per day (breakfast and lunch or dinner).
Vous serez logé.e.s sous une grande tente confortable, avec un lit double et un sommier, ou on peut être debout et avec une petite armoire pour ranger ses affaires!
En pleine nature, proche du studio de musique, et vous aurez accès à internet et l’électricité.

Nous fournissons 2 repas végétariens par jour (petit déjeuner et déjeuner ou dîner) .

Our Kaz is perched in the green heights of Basse-Terre, in the heart of Guadeloupe's nature. The beach of Petite Anse and its peaceful atmosphere is a 2-minute drive (or 20-minute walk) Several rivers and waterfalls are nearby, perfect for swimming or picnicking in a wild setting Hiking trails, fruit trees and breathtaking views of the sea and the mountains surround the Kaz Whether you are a nature lover, a music enthusiast or simply looking to reconnect, you will find here a soothing, lively and inspiring setting. When we have the opportunity, we will lend you a car if needed!
Notre Kaz est perchée dans les hauteurs verdoyantes de Basse-Terre, en plein cœur de la nature guadeloupéenne.
Nous sommes entourés de paysages magnifiques et de lieux ressourçants :
À quelques minutes de sources d’eau chaude naturelles, idéales pour se détendre après une journée active.
La plage de Petite Anse et son atmosphère paisible, est à 2 minutes en voiture (ou 20 minutes à pied)
Plusieurs rivières et cascades se trouvent à proximité, parfaites pour se baigner ou pique-niquer dans un cadre sauvage
Des chemins de randonnée, des arbres fruitiers et une vue imprenable sur la mer et la montagne entourent la Kaz
Que tu sois amoureux.se de la nature, passionné.e de musique ou simplement en quête de reconnexion, tu trouveras ici un cadre apaisant, vivant et inspirant.
Quand on aura la possibilité, nous prêterons une voiture si besoin!
