  Hi workawayer!
  
  
  We are family of five.
  Me (Anna) and my fiance (Bjarki) have been together for almost 15 years and we have 3 kids at the age of 11 years (Alexandra), 5 years (Frosti) and 2 years (Freydís). We are at the age 31 and 35 years old.
  We have 4 cats and 2 rabbits.
  We live in Njarðvík, it’s about 8 minutes drive from KEF airport and 20 minutes drive to capital area (Hafnarfjörður).
  
  We are very open, considerate and fair people.
  Bjarki works in the aluminium industry and his shift are one week day shifts and the other “night” shifts.
  I’m starting a new job here in the area soon.
  
  We have house in Grindavík that we used to rent out but it was set to pause due to the volcano activity. However the town opened again 21st of October and we need to set the house up again and make it ready for renting out. We also have a seasonal renting in our campervans here at home that will close in end of November.
  
  The main chores for our workaway is taking care of the children. Getting them to school and picking them up as taking them to practices. It’s very important that you feel safe driving and have had experience driving in cold snowy weather conditions.
  Preparing meals, laundry and light housework.
  
  We also look into having couples or two friends if we have some extra things we are doing or planning to do 👌🏼

  Beautiful nature, learning our language, we have family all over iceland, We visit alot south area of Iceland where hvolsvöllur,vík í mýrdal and these town are. They have alot of beautiful things to see and learn about! you would be more than welcome to join us in our trips and I (Anna) would be more than happy to take you on some daytrips and show you our culture etc when time is given to do so.

  Arbeit

  Animal care: feed the cats - feed and clean for rabbits.
  
  Cooking: I really love cooking and baking but I have had so little time for it these days. It would be great if you knew your way around the kitchen.
  
  Cleaning the house and laundry:
  * Keep the house clean when babysitting during the day
  * It needs to be vacuumed everyday and keep eyes open for small objects on the floor and remove it as Freydís could put it in her mouth.
  *Clean the floors 1 time a week
  *Go over bathroom
  *Change the children’s bedroom once a week.
  *Helping with folding laundry.
  *Clean surfaces when needed
  *Then we have bigger cleaning day about 1-2 times a month and we all participate in that.
  
  Babysitting:
  Driving and picking up from practices and kindergarten.
  Alexandra would probably be willing to have some days with you, she loves the attention but is little difficult how to behave (she is very straightforward and a little loud, loves to pick on her brother or control him), you need to be strict in a good way. If she knows your lines and you won’t tolerate nonsense then she is an angel 😄
  Our days are never the same so it could be very different but it makes it more fun 🤩
  
  I may need help some days in a month with the house in Grindavik if it doesn’t work with my schedule in work.
  
  
  Our daughter loves learning english! So if you know how to teach and are patient it would be a big plus!
  She also needs more attention and learn how to communicate nicely to people. So taking her out for some fun activities will also be required.

  There is bed, closet, tv (Apple TV) and nightstand.
  Then ofcourse you are more than welcome using the rest of the house as any other family member!
