Beschreibung
Greetings !! I am Andrew otherwise , simply called Drew . I was born in Treasure Beach, grew up in Kingston and returned to Treasure Beach as it was always home in my heart .Coming from a small , close knit village , I value community and great relationships with people . I have always been an environmentalist in my own rights and I have been appointed a Game Warder by the government of Jamaica , focusing primarily on crocodile rescue and preservation . The beach is my happy place .
Over the years , I have developed various skills , primarily through having a curious mind and wanting to know how things are done firsthandedly . If there is a job that needs to be done , I would rather purchase the tool and do it myself. Building and farming are my self therapyArten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Staying here is more than just a work-trade—it’s a chance to experience the real Jamaica, from the inside out. You’ll be welcomed into a small but lively community where people still greet each other on the road, share what they grow, and tell stories under the stars.
There’s a good chance you’ll join in on local cookouts, beach gatherings, or help out with a community event if one pops up. You’ll meet fishermen, farmers, craftspeople, and hear the local dialect and music around every corner.
I’m happy to share knowledge about island living, eco-building, local ingredients, and what it takes to run a small, soulful business in a rural place. If you're curious, I’ll teach you to cook Jamaican-style, introduce you to patois expressions, or show you how to move to the rhythm of the land.
At the same time, I love learning from the people who come here—your stories, your food, your skills, your ways of seeing the world. That exchange is what keeps this place alive and growing.Arbeit
There’s always something to do around here, and I’m looking for easygoing, hands-on folks who aren’t afraid to get a little dirty and enjoy the process. Most of the tasks are practical and creative—ideal for people who like using both their head and their hands.
Here’s what you might be helping with:
Gardening & Landscaping: Planting, watering, weeding, clearing paths, and helping shape a more self-sufficient outdoor space. I’m working toward a food and herb garden too.
Cabin Care & Upkeep: Cleaning, organizing, and doing light maintenance on the cabins so they’re always ready for guests.
Building & DIY Projects: Depending on your skills, you might help with small construction or improvement projects like fencing, furniture upgrades, painting, or decorating. Rustic, artistic touches are very welcome!
Creative Help: If you’ve got skills in photography, video, social media, or content writing, I’d love help capturing the vibe of Drew’s Escape and sharing it with the world.
Retreat Prep & Guest Experience: Eventually I’ll be hosting small retreats and tours, so if you’re good with people, organization, or hosting, that’s a big plus too.
Working Together & Sharing Skills
I’ll be around and working alongside you most of the time. Some days we’ll work side by side, other days you’ll have a task to run with on your own—it really depends on the day and your comfort level. I see this as a two-way exchange. I’m happy to teach you what I know, and I’m always curious to learn new ways of doing things too.
Whether you're good with your hands, full of creative energy, or just eager to lend a hand and learn something new, this is a space where we collaborate, not clock in. We work with the land, respect the pace of life here, and make the most of every sunset.Sprachen

You’ll stay in one of my rustic cabins—simple, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. Each cabin has a cozy bed with mosquito netting, basic furnishings, a private bathroom, and access to a shared kitchen.
Fast, reliable Wi-Fi is available, and we often share meals or unwind in the garden. It’s a peaceful spot for those who enjoy nature, simplicity, and a slower pace of life.Etwas mehr Information
