Beschreibung
Help paint an old Clipper ship in the beautiful town of Groningen.
We are Paul en Judith and live and work on a 1905 traditional sailing ship.
Before we set out to the sea for sailing trips with guests, the outside of the ship needs to be painted.
The ship is located next to the old city center of Groningen, a lively and safe student city.
So apart from painting and enjoying the company of other workawayers, this is also a very cool city trip.
PS: For a good mix of the crew we especially invite young men to respond to this post :-)

Arbeit
The outside of the ship is mainly steel and in pretty good condition. Still every year corrosion needs to be removed, and after that sanding and painting. Also some woodpainting, like the 23 meter high main mast.
We provide good working wear and Paul will be instructing and assisting in the work.
We ask for flexibility in working days and hours, because the work needs dry weather.

Unterkunft
A one mast clipper, 25 x 5 meters. You will have a private cabin with window and sink. Two showers and toilets are available. The owners live seperatly but we will see each other often because of the size of the ship, 25 x 5 meter and cooking together. Judith is a great cook and will make you good and healty vegetarian meals.

Groningen is a lively student city with many venues, bars, concert and night life. Trains and busses are nearby and you can travel around easily. You could also rent a bike for the period to move around more freely. But most of the city is accesible by walking. We don't have Wifi, you will need your hotspot.
