Hello! We are an Aussie family on a small (pretend 😂) farm about 25 minutes from Tamworth, NSW and looking for some help with day to day tasks in the garden, on the farm and in the home. We have hosted many workawayers in the past and have loved so many of our experiences! I still stay in contact with some of our previous workawayers and consider them some of my closest friends... but we haven't had anyone for years so we would like to dip our toes back in to see how it works with our new home and older children!
We are a fun family who LOVE our animals and have 3 dogs, 6 horses and 3 chickens! We ride the horses a fair bit and if you can ride well you will be welcome to also ride. While not essential it would be very helpful to us if you do have some experience with horses so you can feed them if we are away. I work mostly from home but also travel with work so there may be times you can have the place to yourself and just care for the animals while we are away.
Our home is beautiful, a peaceful little paradise amongst big and beautiful gardens. You will have your own room in a very private area of the house but you will share a bathroom with the kids (who are 10 and 14 and funny, gorgeous little critters who will welcome you and enjoy your company!) when they are here (they live week on week off with their Dad so half the time you will have most of the house to yourself!).
I would LOVE help in the garden, to both grow veggies and keep the pretty gardens neat and tidy and weeded, so you will need to enjoy being outdoors and happy to get your hands dirty. And would also love help with easy maintenance and cleaning/tidying tasks around the home and farm.
I would also love some help with cooking. I love to cook and I make healthy, yummy food, but any nights I don't have to cook are the best! So if you can cook and would enjoy to make food for us (especially food from your home country) we would absolutely love that. We have many a favourite recipe from previous workawayers over the years that we still make and enjoy... for me this is one of the best bits of the workaway experience. I guess what I am saying is you will need to love and enjoy food to live with us 😄. All food! (and no fussy eaters please it makes life too difficult).
Because we live out of town you will need your own transport so you can move around and not be reliant on us for transport. There is no public transport available. Please only get in touch if you have your own vehicle. It just makes it easier for us and a lot more enjoyable for you.

We do ask for non-smokers only and you really must love dogs because our doggos are such a big part of our family ... they are beautiful and well behaved dogs who will love you without being annoying and needy 😂... and we can almost guarantee you will fall in love with Skittles!

We love to learn about other cultures and we love to show you our Aussie culture. Living here you will see a lot of Aussie birds (we have so many gorgeous parrots living in our big trees around the house) and we regularly have kangaroos and wallabies close by. We will make you Aussie food and if time allows take you to my parents farm that has stunning views and is teeming with wildlife! And we are really happy to help you with your english!

Arbeit
We need help with gardening (mostly weeding and tidying as well as watering and maintaining small vegetable patch), outdoor house maintenance (painting timber posts and fences with oil, cleaning and tidying the outside of the house), and would love help with preparing meals for the family. We may need you to care for the horses if I travel for work, but that will only be if you stay longer term.

Unterkunft
You will have your own bedroom in a private area of the house with a bathroom shared with my kids. Our house is modern, insulated (so it stays nice and cool in summer and warm in winter) and is fitted with good air con and ceiling fans. It is a modern home with a beautiful, peaceful feel about it.
With food, we will provide your main meals each day though you will be expected to get your own breakfast and lunch and to cook dinner for us/with us 3 or 4 nights per week and we will do the remainder of the meals.

You will need to be happy with your own company and enjoy solitude so you can enjoy our peaceful surrounds doing something you enjoy in your time off. You will need your own transport so you don't feel stuck here as there is no public transport. Please only get in touch if you have your own vehicle.
If you Google Tamworth NSW you will find the Tamworth tourism websites for ideas on what you can do while you are here. In the past most of our workawayers would come to us when they needed a break from being on the road and constantly sightseeing :)

Kann Digital Nomads unterbringen
We have Starlink so our internet is great and it is easy to set you up with your own office space. The spare bedroom is big enough to double as an office or there is an entire beautiful room we barely use that we could set you up in. Digital nomads would actually work beautifully for us, I work like this in a lot of ways so it suits me! :)

You can park a semi trailer if you need to 😂 HEAPS of room and easy access to power if you preferred to stay in your van!

We are happy to have any pet, though our dogs are really not cat friendly unfortunately so we can't have cats for their own safety. But happy to have anything else you may be travelling with. If you have a dog they will need to be friendly with kids and other dogs. Our dogs are very used to having extra dogs in their space and are very friendly and easy to get along with!
