  Beschreibung

  My name is Eulàlia (46). Since 2022 I live with my son (18) and my daughter (14) in a very small village in the north of Osona, Catalonia, surrounded by mountains and cows. It is a place of peace and nature, frequented by hikers.
  
  I do home-office some days/week and work near Barcelona the other days.
  
  We live in an architect's house (500 m2) from 1972, full of light and nature. It is a very nice and special place, near the village but we have 1 ha of land, which allows us to have privacy spaces.
  
  I work as a television writer but also have personal projects that satisfy my interests in photography, writing, sculpture and other artistic expressions.
  
  I love arts and nature.
  
  I speak different languages:
  - Catalan (fluent)
  - Spanish (fluent)
  - French (fluent)
  - English (intermediate)
  
  From monday to friday we have lunch at 3.30 pm due to school schedules: therefore, sometimes you can eat with us or you can eat at your own.
  
  We don't accept smokers.
  
  We don't have animals but I'm thinking about having some hens and maybe a dog.

  As I live with my kids, it's important for us to be clear with child protection. Please take care to exhibit appropriate behavior if interacting physically with children.   We offer language exchange. We can spend a few hours a day practicing Catalan/Spanish/French. We can also spend a day visiting Barcelona and some of its cultural facets. My family has been linked for many years to emblematic places such as the Palau de la Música Catalana or the Sagrada Família, and I have a privileged knowledge of them. You will also learn different aspects of Catalan culture, such as language, cuisine and music.

  Arbeit

  Mainly, I need help in the garden and cleaning the house.
  
  In the garden: pruning, watering, sweeping leaves, weeding, preparing the soil, planting. I would like to have a small organic garden and plant fruit trees in order to have my own vegetables and fruits. Right now, I have nothing but a cherry tree (the birds always finish the cherries before I can taste one!) and a plum tree that were already there when I arrived. A few months ago I planted an almond tree and two apple trees. Specifically, I have to prepare the soil, plant, maintain the planting, as well as create an irrigation system and a rainwater collection system. I have no experience at all, so I would prefer someone with some experience gardening and in agriculture.
  I would also like to build a small chicken coop so I can have eggs. We have foxes and other wild animals in the area so it needs to be a well protected coop.
  In some parts of the terrain, it would be interesting to redo or reinforce some pre-existing steps.
  
  At home, general cleaning (dusting, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and windows). Sometimes, prepare the meal for the three of us (I love cooking, so it wouldn't be all meals at all) and clean up the kitchen after meals.
  
  I am also interested in practicing languages, either English or French. Or even Japanese or German; two languages that my children are studying on their own.
  
  For me it is essential that the person who comes is sociable, friendly and also respects the spaces of silence to work. It is also very important that the volunteer is dynamic, autonomous and has initiative: sometimes we will work together and sometimes not, so do not expect from me to tell you everything you have to donall the time.
  
  I am just starting a cultural project combining arts and nature, so if you want to help (photo, video, website, ideas...), you're welcome.

  Unterkunft

  It is a large house with its garden, in the countryside. We offer a large private room with desk, built-in wardrobes and independent exit, in a beautiful natural environment.
  You will have the pantry full of food available. In case I don't need your help in the kitchen, feel free to cook whatever you want for your own or propose to cook for the three of us or that we all cook together and thus discover Catalan cuisine. Sometimes I won't be at home at lunch time, so do not depend on me at meal times. What I do not want is volunteer showing up al 1.30pm and sitting at the table waiting to be served.

  We live 20 minutes by car from the nearest train station (Barcelona is 1h 50' by train from this station). You can go there from our village by bus (we have 2 buses in the morning and 2 buses around 3pm).
  
  I can drive you the day you arrive and the day you leave. I can also take you there once a week, depending on the day.
