Beschreibung
My husband David and I have a home on 5 acres, on Texada Island, B.C. We have large gardens, a big old, friendly Golden Retriever, a sweet Tom cat, 4 hens and a Rooster. We are surrounded by nature. The beach and Shelter Point Park are minutes from our home. Texada Island has two unique communities on it; Gillies Bay and Van Anda. We are a 30 minute ferry ride from Powell River.

Our community is very friendly and welcoming. We would be happy to spend time together and show our visitors the area prior to or after our vacation. As well we would be thrilled to have them join us for community events.

We have a three bedroom home that was built using lumber from the land as well as other locally sourced materials. We have vegetable gardens and chickens. We do not eat meat, other than seafood. Our home is close to beaches, lakes and numerous hiking trails.

The beach is close by. There is a local farmers market on Sundays during the summer. Hiking, biking and boating is popular here on Texada.
