Hello workaway friends!
We have a 12 hectare farm and orchard growing plums , figs and feijoas 30 mins north west of Auckland.
We are currently looking for helpers!

If you would like to have a real kiwi farm experience then please don't hesitate to contact us! Many helpers stay with us as a base to start their travels in New Zealand and return at the end if they are flying out again through Auckland.

Much of the work is involved in establishing and maintaining the orchards and gardens We have free access to the internet for emailing, browsing and telephony.

Unterkunft
Accommodation for guests is in small cabins. Or in a guest room in our house. The main cabin has a small kitchen where guests can cook . We will provide the food necessary for guests dietary needs.

Our farm is quite close to Auckland but is not on a direct bus route so we usually pick people up from the city, or the nearest bus station at Silverdale.

They had good communication arriving on time and did absolutely everything that was asked of them ... they used there initiative and were positive and self motivated. They fitted in perfectly with our family we enjoyed their company very much. They left the accommodation where they stayed totally spotless! I have… read more
We had a very pleasant time staying with you and are very grateful for everything you provided for us, the food, the car the privacy and the work. Having baths in the glasshouse with the chickens was amazing to us. Picking feijoas is such a joy and working with Hal on the farm was very cool, all his stories were very interesting… read more

We had our own cabin, very confortable and clean and they provided nice food for us to cook in our kitchen.
It was a really relaxing time. We spent 10 beautiful sunny (and sometimes raining) days picking the feijoas. Not hard work, only few hours per day.
