  We are a family with 4 children (2008,2014, 2019 and 2021)
  We live in the heart of nature on the Alsatian side of the Vosges.
  We have a dog a cat ans a couple of hents
  Our house in the woods has been under construction for 7 years and we live in a small house next to the construction site.
  we are aiming for complete autonomy and are not that far off.
  Gael is a trained carpenter and boatbuilder and has worked in off-road renovation. His main activity is to work on the house so that we can live there as soon as possible! he has the precision, rigor and experience of a professional, a taste for straight lines and elegant curves. He has a global and coherent approach to ecological construction, a great practical spirit and he is an excellent teacher!
  I am a physiotherapist, fasciatherapist and mother of our 4 children. I really like to give hand, whatever it is, bread, clay coating, etc. and will be happy to do everything possible to welcome you!
  
  We seek to be the most respectful of our environment, to remain as consistent as possible with our convictions, our time and our abilities, in our daily life.
  We have always been provided by places of mutual aid, simplicity, exchange, pooling, sharing, solidarity... We oscillate between experimentation of all kinds and a taste for sharing, with a permanent concern for coherence, the human being at the heart of our concerns.
  
  
  Nous sommes une famille avec 4 enfants (2008,2014, 2019 et 2021)
  Nous habitons en pleine nature sur le versant alsacien des Vosges.
  Nous avons un chien , un chat et quelques poules
  Notre maison au fond des bois est en chantier depuis 7 ans et nous vivons dans une maisonnette à côté du chantier. Nous visons l'autonomie complète et n'en sommes pas loin.
  Gael est charpentier de formation et charpentier de marine et a travaillé dans la rénovation tout terrain. Son activité principale est de travailler sur la maison pour nous permettre d'y vivre au plus vite! il a la précision, la rigueur et l’expérience du professionnel, le goût de la ligne droite et des courbes élégantes. Il a une approche globale et cohérente de la construction écologique, un super esprit pratique et c'est un excellent pédagogue!
  Moi je suis kinésithérapeute, fasciathérapeute et mère de nos 4 enfants. J'aime beaucoup mettre la main à la pâte quelle qu'elle soit, à pain, enduit terre, etc.. et me ferai une joie de mettre tout en œuvre pour bien vous accueillir!
  
  Nous cherchons à être le plus respectueux de notre environnement, à rester le plus cohérent avec nos convictions, notre époque et nos capacités, dans notre quotidien.
  Nous avons toujours été attirés par les lieux d'entraide, de simplicité, d'échange, de mutualisation, de partage, de solidarité... Nous oscillons entre expérimentation en tous genres et goût du partage, avec un soucis permanent de cohérence, l'être humain au coeur de nos préoccupations.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We speak English and German (only Gael) and would be happy to practice it. But also to share our mother tongue which is French. Living in the mountains there are beautiful hikes to do and will be happy to share our knowledge of the land we have lived in for 14 years, the garden which is in permaculture/biodynamic mix (and other good ideas which seem coherent and intelligent to us but in an amateur, experimental way), as well of the education of children who go to Waldorf school for older children. . We will also be happy to discuss simple and ecological lifestyles as close as possible to nature, as freely as possible in a changing world.
  
  Nous parlons anglais et allemand (seulement Gael) et serions content de le pratiquer. Mais aussi de partager notre langue maternelle qu'est le français. Vivant dans la montagne il y a de belles randonnées à faire et serons heureux de partager notre connaissance du terrain que nous habitons depuis 14 ans, du jardin qui est en mix permaculture/biodynamie (et autres bonnes idées qui nous paraissent cohérentes et intelligentes mais de façon amateur et expérimentale) ainsi que de l'éducation des enfants qui vont à l'école Waldorf pour les plus grands.
  Nous serons aussi heureux d'échanger sur des modes de vie simple et écologique au plus proche de la nature, le plus librement possible dans un monde en mutation.

  Arbeit

  We need help mainly for the construction site, tasks of all kinds (carpentry, earth coatings, masonry...), but everything can be helpful: help with the garden, childcare, and daily life in an almost autonomous house in the middle of nature (cooking, making wood...)
  We really adapt to the people, to the energy available during the day, to the weather...
  
  Nous avons besoin d'aide principalement pour le chantier, tâches en tous genres (menuiserie, enduits terre, maconnerie...), mais tout peut-être aidant: aide au jardin, la garde des enfants, et la vie au quotidien dans une maison presque autonome en pleine nature (cuisine, faire du bois...)
  On s'adapte vraiment aux personnes, à l'énergie disponible du jour, au temps qu'il fait...

  Unterkunft

  We have a caravan and two rooms still under construction but correct in a very beautiful setting. We share our lunches (with a vegetarian tendency but not only), a basic kitchen is available for the morning and the evening. Depending on the case, we adapt to the wishes of our volunteers to share more. Showering is possible in our little house or an outdoor camping shower weather permitting. Dry toilets
  
  
  Nous disposons d'une caravane et de deux chambres encore en chantier mais correctes dans un très beau cadre.
  Nous partageons nos repas du midi (à forte tendance végétarienne mais pas que), une cuisine sommaire est à disposition pour le matin et le soir. Selon les cas, nous nous adaptons aux souhaits de nos volontaires pour partager d'avantage.
  La douche est possible dans notre petite maison ou une douche de camping en extérieur si le temps le permet.

  Our house is out of the way, access is not possible by public transport directly.
  But there is a bus that comes to the village, and we can pick you up, or you can access it on foot (it's a nice walk), by car or other (a family has already come by bus!), and some have already come by bike (you have to be motivated, it goes up!) But it's doable.
  
  Notre maison est excentrée, l'accès n'est pas possible en transport en commun directement.
  Mais Il y a un car qui vient au village, et nous pouvons venir vous chercher, ou vous pouvez accéder à pieds (c'est une belle promenade), en voiture ou autre (une famille est déjà venue en bus!), et certains sont déjà venus à vélo (il faut être motivé, ça monte!) Mais c'est faisable.
