Beschreibung
We are a small family-led organization based in Coyhaique, in the heart of Chilean Patagonia.
Our roots are deeply connected to this land and to the history of the Carretera Austral, a road built to connect remote communities that for generations were accessible only by horse, boat, or long interior trails.
Today, we run an Overland & RV Park project focused on welcoming travelers exploring Patagonia by camper, 4x4, motorcycle, bicycle, or on long overland journeys.
Our goal is to create more than a parking place: we are building a safe, warm and meaningful stop where travelers can rest, share stories, work on their vehicles, and experience the real rhythm of Patagonia.
We are hands-on hosts. We live close to the project, we work daily on the land, and we are actively involved in operations, improvements, and hosting travelers.
We value community, respect for nature, practical skills, cultural exchange, and good conversations around a fire.
Volunteers are not “workers” for us, but part of the experience. We enjoy sharing local knowledge, routes, history, food, and daily life in Patagonia.
If you are curious, proactive, and enjoy outdoor life, simple living, and meaningful projects, you will feel at home here.

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
A cultural exchange is at the heart of this experience.
By joining our project, travelers have the opportunity to learn how life really works in remote Patagonia, far from mass tourism and urban routines. This is not a touristic show, but a real, lived experience.
What volunteers gain and learn:
A deeper understanding of Patagonian culture, rural life and local values
The history of the Carretera Austral, colonization, and how communities were connected in extreme conditions
How to live and work in close connection with nature and weather
Practical outdoor skills: basic construction, maintenance, firewood management, and land care
How an Overland & RV Park operates in a remote region
Cultural exchange through daily conversations, shared meals, and stories with travelers from all over the world
A slower, more conscious way of living, valuing simplicity, effort and cooperation
Many volunteers leave with new perspectives, stronger self-confidence, and a meaningful connection to Patagonia and its people.
Arbeit
We are looking for motivated and easy-going volunteers to help us with different tasks related to our Overland & RV Park project in Patagonia.
Typical help includes:
General maintenance of the park (cleaning common areas, organizing spaces)
Light construction and improvements (wood work, fences, simple structures)
Helping with firewood (cutting, stacking, organizing)
Gardening and outdoor tasks
Basic support welcoming travelers and keeping the place friendly and tidy
Occasionally helping with photos, videos or social media (if you enjoy it)
The work is hands-on, outdoors and varied, depending on the season and weather.
No special skills are required, but initiative, responsibility and good attitude are very important.
We usually ask for 4–5 hours per day, 5 days a week, with flexibility and respect for free time.
This is a real Patagonia project, not a resort. Life here is simple, connected to nature, weather and the rhythm of the land.
