Hello. I am Paloma and I live with my teenage daughter (Irene) on the beautiful island of Menorca. We live in a country house two kilometers from the nearest town (Sant Lluís), it is on a 2000 square meter plot with a sustainable garden since it is irrigated with purified water from the house itself and a 100 square meter orchard, on The land also has about 20 fruit trees and a cistern transformed into a swimming pool. I have lived here for twenty years, we have been building the house little by little, as well as the garden, planting trees... I have worked as a gardener for twenty years but for the last six I have been working as a janitor in two rural schools where I also did all the yard work, helped in school gardens and did small maintenance jobs

Hola. Soy Paloma y vivo con mi hija adolescente ( Irene) en la preciosa isla de Menorca. Vivimos en una casita de campo a dos kilómetros del pueblo más cercano ( Sant Lluís), està en un terreno de 2000 metros cuadrados con jardín sostenible ya que se riega con el agua depurada de la propia vivienda y huerto de unos 100 metros cuadrados, en el terreno también hay unos 20 árboles frutales y un aljibe transformado en piscina . Vivo aquí desde hace veinte años, hemos ido construyendo la casa poco a poco, así como el jardín, siembra de árboles...
He trabajado de jardinera durante veinte años pero desde hace seis trabajo como conserje en dos escuelas rurales donde realizó también todos los trabajos de jardinería, ayudo en los huertos escolares y realizó pequeños trabajos de mantenimiento.

Arbeit
I would like help with several jobs I have pending at home, especially in carpentry, masonry and general maintenance. I would also like to be able to build an outdoor dry toilet one day, if any workawayer has knowledge on how to build one I would love to host them.

Me gustaría recibir ayuda en varios trabajos que tengo pendientes en casa , sobre todo en temas de carpintería , albañilería y mantenimiento en general. También me gustaría poder construir algun dia un vàter seco exterior, si algún workawayer tiene conocimientos sobre cómo construir uno me encantaría alojarlo.

Unterkunft
I offer a room with a double bed and a wardrobe in a wooden shed outside the house. The kitchen and bathroom are shared inside the house, you can use it whenever you want, as well as the garden products. The order and cleaning of common spaces will be done after using them. We can also eat together if you want on weekends. My level of English is practically nil but my daughter Irene defends herself very well

Ofrezco una habitación con cama doble y armario en una caseta de madera en el exterior de la casa. La cocina y baño son compartidos en el Interior de la vivienda, podéis hacer uso siempre que lo deseeis, así como de los productos del huerto. El orden y limpieza de los espacios comunes se realizará después de utilizarlos. También podemos comer juntos si queréis los fines de semana.
Mi nivel de inglés es prácticamente nulo pero mi hija Irene se defiende muy bien

Menorca is a beautiful island and there you can do many things in addition to enjoying its countless virgin beaches. There are beautiful excursions and a path ("el camí de cavalls") that encircles the entire island. Menorca is also an open-air museum as it is full of prehistoric monuments. Public transport on the island is practically non-existent and only to the main towns or most touristy beaches, so you will need some type of vehicle to discover the most beautiful places. I can only offer you a bicycle or accompany you with my car on occasion, but the ideal is that you have your means of transport. I also have a double kayak that I can lend you if your vehicle has a roof rack.

Menorca es una isla preciosa y en ella se pueden hacer muchas cosas además de disfrutar de sus innumerables playas vírgenes. Hay preciosas excursiones y un camino( " el camí de cavalls") que circunvala toda la isla. Menorca también es un museo al aire libre ya que está repleto de monumentos prehistóricos.
El transporte público en la isla es prácticamente inexistente y solo a los principales pueblos o playas más turísticas por lo que necesitaréis algún tipo de vehículo para poder descubrir los sitios más bonitos. Yo sólo puedo ofreceros una bicicleta o acompañaros con mi coche en alguna ocasión pero lo ideal es que tengáis vuestro medio de transporte. También tengo un kayak doble que puedo dejaros si vuestro vehículo tiene baca.
