  Hi we are Lexi & Saskia living on the beautiful island of Gozo x
  
  The thing we enjoy most about life on the island of Gozo is the calm pace of life, living in a village, our community of friends and neighbours and having nature on our doorstep!
  
  We are looking for a trustworthy, responsible and caring Workawayer to join us and become part of our everyday family life. Someone who enjoys quiet rural living, appreciates the little details, enjoys both outdoors and indoor time and is enthusiastic to help out with the practical things that keep a home and family running smoothly.
  
  This is a relatively relaxed family environment, Saskia is at school Monday - Friday whilst i work from home 20hrs a week. We would love to welcome someone who is interested in a language exchange, a person who is motivated to join us in day-to-day activities, improve their english and experience island life and local events in exchange for help and support with daily living and household.

  Arbeit

  I am a single mum, working roughly 20 hours a week, hosting creative events, managing a rental whilst single-handedly looking after my 5 and a half year old daughter. Whilst taking care of day-to-day I am looking for support and an extra hand with my daughter. This would also allow me to keep the house organised, find a healthy balance, get some free-time and attend to other duties (as well as being a full-time mum).

  Here is a clearer idea of what the exchange will involve:
  
  - There will be some hours during the week, either in the morning (before school) or in the afternoon/evening when i will need sometime to do 'my things' and will ask you to spend time with Saskia: engaging her in literacy and numeracy challenges, teaching her general knowledge, motivating her with art & crafts,
  
  -Helping out with food prep
  
  - Helping with basic homework/reading time
  
  - Helping with general home upkeep
  
  - Organising and tidying when needed
  
  - Being an extra pair of hands when family life gets busy
  
  The schedule would be discussed together and kept reasonable, also depending on everyone's well-being and comfort levels. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to help as part of everyday family life, rather than someone who sees this as a formal job.
  
  You should be comfortable around children, ideally have First Aid training, reliable, tidy, proactive and able to use your initiative. Most importantly, we are looking for someone kind, patient and respectful.

  Unterkunft

  I will offer a private double room with an ensuite bathroom on the first floor in my family home. We spend most of our time on the ground floor. I am the kind of person who needs 'alone time' every now and then (this might be solo time/with my daughter).
  
  There is a small outdoor space and my place is located in the vicinity of a valley, on the outskirts of a rural village. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the centre, Rabat or the seaside town, Xlendi by car/walk.
  
  I am looking for a workaway who enjoys meal preparation (as this will be a great help but not obligatory). There will be full use of the kitchen and appliances and should you prefer to prepare your own food then we can discuss a time for you to do this (since the kitchen area can get crammed) or join us for dinner when possible.
  
  I expect that whoever joins our living space to maintain a tidy and respectful attitude, cleaning after food preparation goes without saying...

  Gozo is a beautiful, peaceful Mediterranean island with a very different pace of life from mainland Malta. There are lovely beaches and swimming spots, countryside walks, villages, restaurants and plenty to explore. We would be happy to help you discover the island and share our knowledge of the best places to go.
  
  This would suit someone who enjoys a quieter island lifestyle, meeting new people, experiencing another culture and becoming part of a family for a while.
