Bula!
Come and help us to rebuild our village in Koro Island and experience the true island life.
Our village got destroyed in 2016 after Cyclone Winston, it was one of the worst tropical cyclones to hit Fiji and we are rebuilding our houses and getting back on our feet.
Our project once we have rebuilt our houses is to build a homestay here in the village so we can have guests from all over the world to experience our island life.
We really believe in this project, having a homestay here will allow us to have a source of income and improve our life conditions without changing the way we live. Koro doesn’t have any tourism developed yet as in other islands of Fiji and we want to share our island life but keep it sustainable; we don’t want tourists that only come to Fiji for the beach pictures. We really want to share this amazing project we just began with you!
Ferry from Suva to Koro comes only once a week, on Sundays with “Goundar shipping ltd” so minimum stay is one week.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Meet life in Koro island. We are a remote island in Fiji off the beaten track, with barely any tourism. People here still holds to the old ways of life and Fijian traditions so is a fantastic way to experience it.
We can also teach you how to fish, dive, surf and experience our connection with the ocean. We will show you all we know about farm, planting and hunting, you will also try the best Fijian food and how to live as a native.
We mostly spend our free time playing guitar and singing around bonfires so if you like to play or sing this is your place!Arbeit
Ideally we need people with carpentry skills and experience in construction to help us building the house. We also need help with gardening, weeding and with the farm.
