  How about spending a nice time with a traditional French family?
  Would you be ready to help our 16 year-old son improve his English? If so, we'd gladly welcome you for 10 days/2 weeks between July the 22nd & August the 15th.
  We (my 2 teenagers, my husband and I) live in a small village called Lhommaizé, situated in the countryside but only about 30km away from the bustling town of Poitiers. We're looking for a native English-speaking young person, preferably sporty and not shy, to help our son practise his oral skills in English (both listening & speaking). We also have a daughter aged 18; I am a middle school teacher and my husband works on the farm/ We're used to hosting young people in the summer and we definitely need someone talkative willing to teach English and share some good moments with us.
  You could enjoy the pleasure of living in the countryside... If you play tennis or golf, it would definitely be a plus for our son... We are very easy-going and would like you to enjoy our life here with our cats, dog... and full-time access to a nice warm swimming-pool at the same time! What about going for a bike ride, jogging, or enjoying a nice bbcue with our friends ? Prêts à partager le quotidien d'une famille française ? You'll be our guest!

  We'll consider you as our guest with great pleasure! We're used to having english-speaking guests... We've had au-pairs when the children were younger, then foreign students but we're now looking for a different type of relationship, more casual cause the children are older now. Anyone staying with us could also enjoy the quiet moments spent in our big garden (no neighbours around), barbecues or tea times with conversations with our friends or relatives... Ever heard about the Futuroscope? Great place to visit, about 35 min away...

  Arbeit

  We don't need help with the housework, what we're looking for is a young person that could propose a few language activities to our 16 year-old son to have him speak English. Our son is quite sporty & would love someone to play football, golf, tennis with him or go for a bike ride. We'd also like you to do some English exercices/language practise with them him, which would not exceed 2 hours a day. Some basic help with laying/clearing the table or watering flowers will be welcome (but we all do it here).

  Unterkunft

  You'll be staying in a big bedroom with a double bed, your own bathroom & unlimited access to the pool. Our house is surrounded by woods and fields, so you'll be able to sunbathe or lie in the sun whenever you want it...

  Was noch ...

  We consider hosting a volunteer as an enriching experience for all the members of ours family. You'll be our guest, but be ready to chat with us, specially with our 2 teenagers... So if you're too shy, it's not a great idea... We've already had lots of foreign guests in the summer (from England, New-Zealand, Denmark, Ukraine and Spain) in the past few years & have always kept in touch since. No babysitting or childcare expected :)
