Hello.
I have a house in the countryside 45 minutes south of Valencia in Spain with some land, 4 chickens and 2 rescue pigeons. I will be spending more time in Germany this year and I am looking for someone responsible to live in my house and look after the land and animals while I am not here.
It would be long term - months at least. Ideally the person have their own transport.
Because of the animals the person wouldn't be able to bring any pets (unless they are chicken and pigeon-friendly).
The property is very quiet, but there are neighbours around all year - more in summer as people come out to their summer houses and swimming pools.
The house is near the mountains and 30 minutes to the Valencia region beaches, there is a large swimming pool that we drained but you could fill it and use it if wanted.
Good wifi connection (I work remotely and never had issues with large online meetings or presenting).
Lovely old house, double glazed, recently decorated. Garden filled with birds and flowers.
The area is a lovely quiet retreat from city life but close to the neighbours who are all local and friendly.

We bought an old farmhouse with a run down orange orchard and we are turning it into a regenerative agro-forestry plot with the goal of boosting biodiversity and soil health. In the 2 years we've been here and stopped the spraying of pesticides and herbicides we've already seen a huge increase in bird and insect species.
We're looking for people who share the vision or are interested in learning about low impact agriculture and who enjoy being in nature. It is a vegetarian household with pet rabbits and chickens.
I practice yoga most days and am happy to share my practice (vinyasa), I also go rock climbing most weekends - Valencia is a rock climbing paradise.
Arbeit
Daily feeding of chickens and rescue pigeons, garden maintenance. Generally keeping the house lived in :) but no house maintenance above normal keeping it clean would be needed.
The person, people should be physically fit as there is a hectare of land, though only a part of it needs looking after. If the weather has been very dry the long grass in the wild plot may need cutting to limit for risk.
It is in the countryside, about 5 minutes to a town and 45 minutes to the closest airport.

My house has two double bedrooms, one with twin beds so I can accommodate a couple or two friends while I'm in the house. The house is a lovely old finca that we are renovating so it's partially nice 😀
Double glazing, WiFi, electric hot water, gas cooker.
This is mostly a house sitting request so it is better for someone to have their own transport and be fairly independent
