Beschreibung
We are a Franco-Portuguese couple living in a charming typical Madeira house, currently in the final stages of renovation.
Our house is located in Ponta do Sol, on the beautiful island of Madeira, in a peaceful setting surrounded by banana trees and bougainvillea. Ideally located on the south-west coast, it offers easy access to the whole island, allowing you to take full advantage of the many sights and activities on offer.

We're part of a multi-national group of friends with whom we usually go on outings. You'll be welcoming.
Carlos is a self-builder and renovation professional, Florence is a painter, decorator, artist-painter and co-manager of an art gallery, so we'll be able to share our skills with each other.
Carlos's practice of English and our knowledge of other nationalities would be a plus.
Arbeit
We are offering a workaway opportunity in Ponta do Sol, Madeira, with accommodation in a comfortable suite room, located in a pleasant house.
In exchange, we're asking for 5 hours of help per day , except on weekends with finishing work, such as plastering, painting, and various small tasks. There could also be occasional help with building an outbuilding on the property.
We'll do tasks together with a view to perhaps sharing skills along the way.

Unterkunft
I provide the meals. This is a bedroom/bathroom with separate toilet, overlooking the garden under a large fig tree.
The food is simple and quite natural. Meals can be taken together or separately, as you wish. We regularly go to the restaurant to enjoy typical Madeiran dishes. The kitchen is large, so we can cook together or separately. Help with cooking preparation is welcome.

In your free time, you can visit our magnificent island, hiking, beaches, maritime activities, sports, yoga (Flo is a practitioner), etc. You can take the bus, which stops 300m away, hitchhiking works very well and is safe, or even hire a car or scooter for more independence (we have some good addresses).
