  HI! My name is Marta and I live in the countryside, very close to the historic center of Massa Marittima, a beautiful city in the Upper Maremma. I am the custodian of a 5 hectare land with an olive grove and a holm oak forest on which I have started a permaculture project: a place where you can concretely get involved, putting aside the words comfort and laziness and where you can regain freedom and the responsibility to live consciously.
  Over time, social, agricultural and cultural projects have been launched.
  Several people have passed through here by the permaculture courses held by an exceptional group of friends and dream builders, by workshops for the exchange of goods coming from the earth and from the hands of those who patiently and with love created them, from the opportunity to plant trees...
  This began in the year 2020. A busy year I would say and it was born first in the hearts and minds of those who felt that the territory and the communities would support it.
  It is a place of learning, exchange and care for living simple, beautiful and happy.
  You will love the peace and the fact of feeling at home, in the heart.
  I live in a mobile home with my cat Miago and we are always happy to welcome friends and travellers.
  We love tranquility, friendship, the exchange of knowledge.
  We are working to conserve and increase biodiversity in the olive grove (we participate in a species monitoring project with a Swiss association), we have a widespread vegetable garden to be implemented with agroforestry techniques, we would like to clean up the entire olive grove and every year we harvest the olives for our use.
  In November, help in the olive grove is requested from people truly interested in this type of profession. The olives are harvested by hand on terraced land. Willingness to work, spirit of adaptation and flexibility are required. The working hours at the moment are 7-8 per day. Full days of vacation can be granted once the harvest is finished.

  Ciao! Il mio nome è Marta e abito in campagna, molto vicina al centro storico di Massa Marittima, una bellissima città dell'Alta Maremma. Sono la custode di una terra di 5 ettari con un'uliveta e un bosco di lecci su cui ho avviato un progetto in permacultura: un luogo dove potersi mettere in gioco in concreto, mettendo da parte le parole comodità e pigrizia e dove riappropriarsi della libertà e della responsabilità di abitare in maniera consapevole.
  Nel tempo si sono avviati progetti sociali, agricoli e culturali.
  Sono passate da qui diverse persone dai corsi di permacultura tenuti da un gruppo eccezionale di amici e costruttori di sogni, dai laboratori di scambio di beni provenienti dalla terra e dalle mani di chi pazientemente e con amore li ha realizzati, dall'occasione di piantare alberi...
  Questo ha avuto inizio nell'anno '20 del 2000. Un anno denso direi. è nata prima nel cuore e nella mente di chi ha sentito che il territorio e le comunità l'avrebbero sostenuta.
  E' un luogo di apprendimento, di scambio e di cura per vivere semplice, bello e felice.
  Amerete la pace e il fatto di sentirvi a casa, nel cuore.
  Vivo in una casa mobile con il mio gatto Miago e siamo sempre felici di accogliere amici e viaggiatori.
  Amiamo la tranquillità, l'amicizia, lo scambio di conoscenze.
  Stiamo lavorando per conservare e aumentare la biodiversità nell'uliveta (partecipiamo ad un progetto per il monitoraggio delle specie con un'associazione svizzera), abbiamo un orto-giardino diffuso da implementare con tecniche di agroforestazione, vorremmo ripulire tutta l'uliveta e ogni anno raccogliamo le olive per il nostro uso.
  Abito in una mobil home.
  In novembre si richiede aiuto in uliveta a persone veramente interessate a questo tipo di mestiere. Le olive si raccolgono a mano su terreno terrazzato. E' richiesta voglia di lavorare, spirito di adattamento e flessibilità. Le ore di lavoro, in questo momento sono 7-8 al giorno. Si possono accordare giornate intere di vacanza, una volta terminata la raccolta.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  This is connected to other social and cultural projects in the area and contacts, relationships and visits with these entities that deal with agriculture, urban regeneration, the environment and conscious lifestyles are encouraged.
  I have the pleasure of sharing my way of living. I studied architecture and worked as an active member in the PAEA association (ask for the link) carrying out various tasks, as a professional, as a speaker at events, I wrote articles and collaborated to spread the passive house standard in Italy. I have various experiences in self-building. Now I take care of the rural regeneration project and I collaborate to create a network in the area that supports the production of healthy and local food.
  I hope that this will be a stimulus for the guests and that I will be able to meet kind-hearted people who are truly interested in caring for and respecting themselves, others and the earth.
  In the future I would like to create independent living modules with different construction techniques and live with other people who fill the project and the way of living and sharing.

  Questa realtà è collegata ad altri progetti sociali e culturali sul territorio e sono favoriti i contatti, le relazioni, le visite con queste realtà che si occupano di agricoltura, di rigenerazione urbana, di ambiente e stili di vita consapevoli.
  Ho il piacere di condividere il mio modo di vivere e di abitare. Ho studiato architettura e ho lavorato come membro attivo nell'associazione PAEA () svolgendo incarichi vari, come professionista, come relatrice ad eventi, ho scritto articoli e collaborato per diffondere lo standard di casa passiva in Italia. Ho diverse esperienze in autocostruzione. Ora mi occupo del progetto di rigenerazione rurale e collaboro per realizzare una rete sul territorio che sostenga la produzione di cibo sano e locale.
  Spero che questo sia da stimolo per gli ospiti e che io possa conoscere persone di cuore e veramente interessate alla cura e al rispetto di se stesse, degli altri e della terra.
  In futuro mi piacerebbe realizzare moduli abitativi autonomi con diverse tecniche costruttive e vivere con altre persone che sentano il progetto e il modo di vivere e condividere.

  Arbeit

  There are several jobs where I would be happy to receive help:
  - keep the vegetable garden clean and mulched
  - take care of and beautify the structures (outdoor kitchen, pergola, mobile home, tree terrace, caravan)
  - create new spaces (woodshed, meditation space, tea space)
  - plaster the Chilean oven (lime finish is missing)
  - create agroforestry lines in the orchard (collect cuttings and seeds and transplant them, make green mulches)
  - cut the wood into small pieces, transport them home and arrange it
  - collect and store rainwater (this is a job that I have to plan from the beginning)
  - cleaning, pruning and olive harvesting (until the end of November)
  
  The care and cleaning of spaces, like cooking, are shared jobs.
  We will try to spend time together carrying out the various jobs and this will allow the exchange of experiences and knowledge. Always very happy to learn and offer what I bring with me.

  Ci sono diversi lavori dove sarei felice di ricevere aiuto:
  - mantenere pulito e pacciamato il giardino-orto
  - prendersi cura e abbellire le strutture (cucina esterna, pergola, casa mobile, terrazza sugli alberi, roulotte)
  - creare nuovi spazi (legnaia, spazio meditazione, spazio tè)
  - intonacare il forno cileno (manca la finitura in calce)
  - realizzare le linee agroforestali nel frutteto (raccogliere talee e semi e trapiantarli, fare pacciamature verdi)
  - tagliare a pezzi piccoli la legna, trasportarli a casa e sistemarla
  - raccogliere e stoccare l'acqua piovana (è un lavoro che devo progettare dall'inizio)
  - pulizia, potatura e raccolta olive (fino alla metà di novembre)
  
  La cura e la pulizia degli spazi, come il fare da mangiare, sono mestieri condivisi.
  Cercheremo di passare del tempo insieme svolgendo i vari lavori e questo consentirà lo scambio di esperienze e di conoscenze. Sempre molto contenta di imparare e offrire ciò che porto con me.

  Unterkunft

  I can accommodate in a caravan or there are several spaces to stay in your own tent or park a van.
  Eating is vegetarian or vegan. I love culinary exchange and tasting dishes from other countries.
  Meat is not permitted and alcoholic beverages are permitted in limited quantities. However, they will not be offered.
  No drugs allowed.
  
  Food will be offered for the three meals and the preparation will be shared.

  Posso ospitare in una roulotte oppure ci sono diversi spazi per stare in tenda propria o parcheggiare van.
  Il mangiare è vegetariano o vegano. Amo lo scambio culinario e gustare piatti di altri paesi.
  La carne non è ammessa e le bevande alcoliche sono consentite in quantità limitata. Non saranno comunque offerte.
  Non sono ammesse droghe.
  C'è solo il compost toilet e una doccia esterna. E' consentito l'uso della doccia interna con acqua calda durante le stagioni meno calde. E' richiesta pulizia e cura.

  The area is truly rich in beauty, both from a naturalistic and architectural-historical point of view. In your free time you can go on various excursions: 10 minutes by car we have one of the most beautiful and natural bathing lakes in Italy, 20 minutes away you can reach the beaches of the coast, between Follonica and Piombino. In any case, you can travel easily with comfortable buses.
  Just a 15 minute walk (uphill) you reach the historic center of Massa Marittima where you can find everything you need.
  It is an area with more than 300 km of paths marked out for bicycle lovers.

  Il territorio è veramente ricco di bellezze, sia dal punto di vista naturalistico, sia da quello architettonico-storico. Nel tempo libero si possono fare diverse escursioni: a 10 minuti di auto abbiamo uno dei laghi balneabili più belli e naturali di Italia, a 20 minuti si raggiungono le spiagge della costa, tra Follonica e Piombino. In ogni caso ci si sposta facilmente con comodi autobus.
  A soli 15 minuti a piedi (in salita) si raggiunge il centro storico di Massa Marittima dove potete trovare tutto ciò che vi serve.
  E' un'area con più di 300 km sentieri tracciati per gli amanti della bicicletta.

  Sono aperta nel valutare caso per caso. Vivo con un gatto che entra in casa ma altri animali non sono ammessi.
