  We are a British couple who have been living in France for the past four years, running a small, friendly, seasonal restaurant in a beautiful touristic village in The Charente. Our lively village has a charming square surrounded by restaurants, bars and artisan shops, and welcomes hundreds of visitors from Europe and around the world, each Summer.
  We are lifelong animal lovers/owners and have a friendly young dog and we all LOVE living in the French countryside!
  When we are not working, we enjoy walks with our dog, socialising with friends and traveling around Europe.

  PIZZAIOLO
  We need a reliable, experienced and dedicated pizzaiolo to prepare and make delicious pizzas.
  
  WAITER/WAITRESS
  We need a reliable, respectful and cheerful server. Someone friendly and motivated to help me greet customers and wait on tables, serving food and drinks.
  Server experience advantageous but not necessary, providing you are friendly, hardworking and enjoy meeting people and providing a good service.
  
  Work is, lively, fun and BUSY and HOT!! during July and August.
  Lazy people would NOT be suitable…
  
  **IMPORTANT INFO: PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS**
  
  - You MUST be an EU citizen (for short contract/ paperwork reasons).
  British passport holders CANNOT be considered.
  
  - Be able to commit to working the whole months of JULY and AUGUST (possibly longer to include part of June and September)
  
  - You MUST speak a good level of English.
  Basic French would be a bonus, or a willingness to learn some on the job.
  
  - Be fit and strong. The work is physically demanding in both the kitchen and the restaurant and involves moving tables and chairs as well as carrying heavy trays of food and drinks.
  
  - Be independent and happy to occupy yourself outside of working hours. Able to enjoy living independently in the apartment provided.
  
  Hours of work will be approx 35 hours over 5 or 5 and a half days per week, during lunchtimes and evenings. Leaving you enough time to enjoy the local area.
  Minimum wage will be paid.
  
  Speak good English and be willing to learn a little French - for the restaurant).
  
  On work days meals will be provided in the restaurant, before or after service.
  
  TWO workers required. NON smokers.
  
  Positons would suit a COUPLE or TWO FRIENDS travelling together.

  Unterkunft

  Accommodation is an independent newly refurbished studio apartment, close to our restaurant and also the village square.
  Small open plan lounge-dining area. Kitchenette, for the preparation of breakfast, simple meals and snacks. Modern shower room with toilet.
  Kingsize bed on mezzanine and single bed in dressing room.
  French TV and free WIFI.

  All village amenities are within a short walking distance, along with nearby recreational activities of river swimming by the sandy river beach, canoe and kayak hire, tennis courts and walking opportunities in the surrounding countryside. We live in beautiful, but rural countryside. We are surrounded by fields of sunflowers, maize and wild meadows.
  Other pretty villages and two larger towns are 20 mins away by car.
  Your own transport would be ideal If you like exploring. The large town of Angouleme is 45 mins away. Bergerac 60 mins and Bordeaux 90 mins. Local train services are fairly decent, the nearest station is 15 mins drive away. Local bus services only run twice daily; early morning and late afternoon.
