Beschreibung
We are a social business wellness centre, situated in a rural village in Sri Lanka, specialising in Ayurveda and Yoga. The property is located in a small village called Nehinna, 80 km away from the capital city Colombo.
The village is rural and has a traditional community feel. The property itself is 40 acres of Rubber, Coconut, Cinnamon and Black Pepper. The hotel villa is surrounded by nature and is a habitat for rare local and migrant birds, butterflies and a plethora of tropical flora and fauna. We are in the process of removing the rubber trees and establishing a indigenous food forest and organic gardens.
The hotel also partakes and funds many of the community projects in the village such as funding the local school, temple etc. The hotel operates on a profit share basis with the staff who are mostly local underprivileged people who we have trained. From the start, the project of the centre was to be a different type of business, where the charity work is done together and not apart as a separate entity. So the profits of the centre are also directed to social and nature works.
After a few years we want to attend the need of expansion and organise the work of the charity. We feel that with a better lookout and visibility we can increase the volume of donations and projects for the welfare of the community.
The need at the moment are of Yoga and Meditation teachers; Photographers, to take some photos of our place and activities, the charity projects, and the village life; people that have experience with natural/clay building to design and construct natural ovens and small sctructures (and possibly to teach the community).
We are also searching for a volunteer with permaculture experience to help our garden and plantation. Our rubber trees are already old and we are trying to replace them for a permanent ayurvedic garden and food forest. Our land also carries a lot of native fruit trees. There is space for many developments and permaculture ideas. We would like to hear yours!Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
You would learn about village life in rural Sri Lanka and the traditional lifestyle there. Our resort employs all village people from underpriviledged backgrounds. You will get the opportunity to interact closely with them and get to know their family life, culture and the life of a true Sri Lankan village. This includes the food, lifestyle, religion, their approach to a peaceful life. You would also get an opportunity to learn about Ayurveda, Yoga, Buddhism and Meditation, and enjoy the activities of our wellness resort, like Yoga and Meditation classes, discussions on philosophy, etc.
Working with the charity will be an opportunity to bring benefit to others and create an environment of trust, communion, caring and love. We strongly believe that by cultivating the qualities of selflessness, donation and kindness we can increase the quality of living of all beings. You are welcome to learn, help us learn and make this happen.Arbeit
Yoga and Meditation Teacher - To teach one daily class, with asana, pranayama and meditation. Our guests are from different backgrounds and health conditions, so can be a great enviroment for the development of more broad teaching skills. We also open the space for teachers to share discussions on Yoga philosophy, health, and other related topics. Teachers can also use their free time to learn more about Ayurveda and therapy with our team of Doctors.
Photographer - We need new photos of the centre and it's surroundings / Photos of the village and the charity works / A photoshoot with our Yoga teacher.
Permaculture and Natural Building- Someone with enough experience to redesign and come with ideas for our plantation, specially to work with native plants and ayurvedic gardens. Someone with experience of natural/clay building for small projects such as ovens.Gesprochene Sprachen
