  Hi, my name is Paulien and I am living in Puglia, in the Valle d'Itria since June 2024. Originally I am Dutch. I live here with my 3 sons (13, 11, 8) in a wonderful house with 0,5 hectare filled with olive trees and other fruits. We are enjoying life in Puglia very much with its fresh food, great climate and openminded people. And, we are very pleased to meet you!!

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  First of all: welcome to our family where we speak Dutch, English, Italian, French and a bit German. We are very open minded people and, also my kids (and our Golder Retriever Nola, cat Luca and two birds!), and we would love to welcome you here. After a year of travelling in a camper through Europe, doing homeschooling, enjoying life, we settled in Puglia. There unfortunately me and the kid's papa divorced and now we both go our own way here in Puglia. So, on a personal level there is enough to share and learn I suppose ;-).
  
  The valle d'Itria has a lot of cultural activities to offer such as theatre, spiritual activities (yoga, sound healing, cacao ceremonies, etc), we live close by an ashram which is quite famous here in Puglia, both coasts are bellissima, music is a big thing here, ceramic pottery, biking and trekking on the 'aquadotto' and many more. I would love to help you finding the right activities and people that suit your needs! My network here grew quite fast.
  
  Then there is me as a woman, a mother, a former business owner in The Netherlands, having gone through a tough journey to get to myself. I am figuring out how to process these 'lessons' into my future way of being, also in helping others.

  Arbeit

  I would like help in the following areas:
  - garden help (from designing to maintaining and everything in between)
  - cutting trees, roses, etc.
  - installation of a sprinkler system
  - some small area's of painting
  - some small area's of plasterwork - i can teach you
  - if you're good with wood, I'll always need a new shelf somewhere :-).
  
  
  I love to do all of these tasks as well and I am super eager to learn so whenever I can (apart from being a mom, driving around to sportclasses and my job) I will be here to help!!

  What we offer is an apartment where you have your own kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. You can stay with 4 people max here. We enjoy having people at the table so feel welcome. Some days I might have to say I need some (dinner)time alone with my boys as well, but I will make sure you'll eat well like the Italians do throughout the day!
  
  If you prefer you can also park your camper, van, 4x4 in our garden and we will provide electricity and a bathroom.

  Was noch ...

  It's great if you have a driver's license and if you can rent a car. I will help you finding a good offer. There is public transport but you will lose a lot of time taking it. Of course I can also drop you off and pick you up, but that's not as easy as having the freedom with a rental car.
